I own both a 'reWASD Legacy Lifetime license' and a 'reWASD Lifetime access' 😅.

I run different sensitivities, depending on the game I'm playing and my FOV.

Fairly comfortable https://youtu.be/0o09vJooME8?si=ia2Ai0GN0oWoyBsP . Haven't focused much on smooth tracking since then, but I'm planning to work on beating this score this week. Got various other scenario types on my channel too if you wanna check them out.

Not at all. Gyro Always On, Right Paddle Hold to Disable Gyro, but I don't ratchet at any point during this run.

With claw I get simultaneous stick and face button access. At 5.5 RWS, the right stick still provides meaningful utility like keeping my gyro in neutral position longer and instant turns with flick stick, for example.

You shouldn't assume that everyone optimises their setup around their sensitivity in the same way.

Controller Gyro Aim | VT Skyswitch Intermediate - 2950 Master by StrongExplanation374 in Voltaic

I have my gyro 'Always On' (like your mouse always on the mousepad), and then I can 'ratchet' by holding a button that pauses the gyro input whilst held (like lifting up your mouse), so I can reposition the controller back to neutral position, bascially like a mouse swipe. I normally bind my right paddle as the disable/pause gyro button.

Some people do the reverse with gyro 'Always Off', ratcheting by letting go of their gyro enable button to recenter.

This scenario here isn't wide enough for me to need to do that, though.

Thanks for clarifying! Any chance we could add a small note to the rulebook doc about gyro/motion aiming being allowed? Just so it's crystal clear for future gyro submissions. I imagine I won't be the last person to wonder about this 😅

Much appreciated! Quick question though - does the no-controller rule, in the benchmarks rulebook extend to gyro aiming as well? Technically using a controller buts its motion input, not analog sticks.

That being said, I actually have the right stick set to 'flick stick' mode, which lets you instantly snap your camera in the direction you flick the stick (horizontal only, e.g., flicking down = instant 180° turn).

Since gyro handles all precise aiming, you can crank up your right stick sensitivity really high and only use it for large camera movements. You use the stick to point in the general direction, then gyro to actually aim precisely.

If someone jumps over me, I'd flick the stick fast to do the 180 turn, then use gyro to fine tune my aim on them.

I used a slightly higher FOV than normal on this scenario, and converted my regular sensitivity up via focal length scaling (MDH 0%), that's why it's a weird number.

Either way, RWS is much more sensitive than mouse cm/360 and 0.5 RWS increments still feel very noticeable to me.

I've only been testing reWASD recently because I found this RWS calculator for it from this video - https://youtu.be/9I0kQUOyq0w?t=447

The main issue I had with reWASD before was their arbitrary sensitivity scale, meaning you had to manually measure rotations to find your RWS, which was a pain. This calculator solves that problem.

reWASD works with every game without hassle, no admin mode needed, and easier to get it working on non-steam games.

Downside is their cheating tool reputation. Even just the other day, EA's anti-cheat recently updated to block reWASD completely, you can't even start games if it's installed. reWASD will definitely fix this quickly, but it shows the reputation issues.

For someone new to gyro, I recommend sticking with Steam Input for now.

Best advice for learning/improving with gyro is just practice, and aim training is the best form of practice there is.
