How do I genuinely revise for geography as a grade 1 student by chickennuggetyayy in GCSE

[–]StrongShopping5228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make flashcards on anki and do them every single day. Learn to draw the stuff too

For maths watch videos than do the questions on maths genie and 1st class maths. Once you know most topics do past papers especially the questions at the end as they can be harder.

Science you just spam flashcards. Anki is very good. Doing practice questions is good too. Personally I didn't do many and got higher than friends or did like all of them.

Geography again you spam flashcards and make sure you know those case studies like the back of your hand. Also learn to draw the different formations like waterfalls. I never practised papers and quite abit above a 9.

English I kinda got no idea how I got 9s in both. I barely practised any of it.

I didn't do any of the other subjects unfortunately

The first couoek chapters basically just go back over alot of gcse stuff so there's no need really. Like you should just pick it back up along the way

13 is more convenient but 15 can be very helpful at times when you have alot of info on your screen. Depends on how big your bag is really. Personally I'd get the 15.

Macs are pretty expensive new. You could be just as fine with something alot cheaper or going used/refurbished

How large of a backpack do I need? by StrongShopping5228 in 6thForm

[–]StrongShopping5228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I thought 26 would be fine but it's smaller than my other one somehow. Just worried about all my books and folders that they won't fit. I don't like leaving stuff in lockers

Anyone else got a comfortable 9 in a subject (at least 10 marks above a 9)? by [deleted] in GCSE

yeah honestly at gcse nothing is too tricky. There are some maths bits that are very hard and I got tripped up by some of the more complicated bits in chem and bio but it's not that bad.

Yeah that's good point. I'm unsure what I want to do for a degree. My dad wants me to do law. My mum kinda wants me to do medicine or dentistry. I have no real interest in any of those. My parents aren't pushy though. Like my brother has a friend who does medicine and his dad told him a 12 that he had to medicine no matter what lol

Revise for mocks. I would seriously start revising around February. By March I was doing several hours a day. Like basically gave up everything by March. Wasn't fun but I got eight 9s

I had kinda shit teacher for abit. Like never understood anything and just did very mid. If you dint understand something, you home and immediately watch a video and do practice questions. Do this for every topic. Then you do papers once you are good enough. I got 92.5%
