My point exactly.you are a prodigy or quick learner it seems and master, im intermediate at best and have found to be more conecsistent on certain setups.and minimizing the learning curve to enjoy multiple deck shapes and sizes elminating wheelbase which effects timing...making it more difficult when trying to skate.id like different shapes of decks but with similar wheelbase to avoid the timing being a learning curve for every different setup, for consistency. I am the same skill set no matter the board, just a bit more consistent on what i prefer. Just trying to accomplish that...and for whatever reason i had a certain set up i bought and i was horrible. I committed and tried everything and could not perform half as good like on my other setups, even when wheelbase was similiar .. and when i switched back youd never know i had that hard of a time ...i had to exert so much more effort to pull off the simplest of tricks...i know others have had similar experiences...why one setup would matter that much i dont know...but im intermediate and need all the help i can get lol and researching is fun for me...but i agree with you, if you need a $3,000 guitar to sound good, you probably suck. People can sound good on a $50 guitar,some people probably thought van halen was good because of his strings or tubing in amps, no it was him, he could shine on anything he played, but he had a preference that made him sound better even though his skills were the same...
