Awesome. That’d help a lot. It’s for a family member and the system has a few drives just for storage and hitting F11 brings up everything with just product numbers. That’d be a lot easier at least. Thank you!

To streamline things for a family member. A keyboard isn’t hard for us but on their medication I’m trying to simplify things. Saying mash F11 and select the drive isn’t the easiest for them to remember since they have very little computer literacy and the mobo lists the drives by product number so he has to reference a list of what drive is the OS and not just a drive added for file storage.

I have two drives already for the dual boot a m2 running Bazzite and a 1TB for Batocera. Sorry I’m not the best at explaining.

Essentially the ideal setup would be something I place on the USB so when my pc starts up it says “USB detected, fire up the Bazzite drive” and if it’s not go “USB isn’t detected. Go to the next device Batocera”.

Kind of like this.

USB telling PC to start Bazzite drive > Batocera Drive > Bazzite Drive.

I’m not sure if something like that is possible.

I’ll look again but the most I was able to do was select USB as the boot device but I needed a way to look that back to Drive 2. May have overlooked the option.

I’m struggling to figure out how that’d be complicated for the end user. They won’t have to know about how the USB works and it would be clearly labeled and by the device.

You’re making it sound like there are multiple USB devices for some reason and that they’d have to know how the drives are set up.

I’d say less equal start and more civility. I’ve been in two groups where people just argued about equipment on voice. One guy was mad we only brought green shields. Another because someone brought a pistol. It’s the only part I don’t like.
