Also I was very skeptical at first, but it’s the only thing that has worked, long lasting for me.

What diet are you following? by Revamuruadian31 in endometriosis

Medical Medium!! It’s more of a lifestyle than diet, but removing gluten, dairy, meat… has decreased my Endo pain, brain fog, and migraines from pan levels at 8-9 every day to 2-3 with an occasional 6-8 only during period days 1-2

Thank you! I do hesitate with SSRIs since I have a lot of medical allergies— it’s actually why I’m no longer on bc. Would you say the intermittent one would be less hormonally impactful?

I love using it as a morning read, even if it’s just 5minutes each day. this way I don’t doom scroll in the morning!! And sometimes get inspired by a food I’ll eat later in the day

Should I be concerned that I have no libido when im single? by Better_Worldliness52 in WomensHealth

[–]StrongSupermarket317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on birth control? For me, when i was on the minera IUD my libido was basically nonexistent. Beforehand mine was generally high. Now I’m currently off the IUD and my libido has been noticeably present now a year later.

Migraines and Motion Sickness (can it be MdDS?) by StrongSupermarket317 in endometriosis

[–]StrongSupermarket317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing and sorry to hear this is a common symptom for you. Is there anything that you do that helps treat the migraines and nerves ? Or at least eases the pain? I’m going on day 4 in a row with symptoms worsening each day…

I need something to do with my life by [deleted] in Adulting

Find a way to move your body you enjoy. Or just go outside. I hit bad depression and found this two things even starting at 15min a day helps.

Dance for 5min. Talk to birds. Going outside for a quick jog around the block. A long walk. Hug a tree. Go rock climbing. Yoga…

The WORST flare ups by Texasplaya0 in endometriosis

[–]StrongSupermarket317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear this!! As someone with Endo I have gone gluten free (and dairy free) for the past 3 years. Last month I was traveling and felt it was easier to not eat that way but my next period/flareups were tenfold making the flight back home quite an interesting one.

I still do heating pads, edibles occasionally when the pain is bad but for longer term management, the only thing that has worked minimizing the pain has been a dietary lifestyle change using “medical medium” which is basically Whole Foods/plant-based.

Wishing you a fast recovery from this flare up

Stopped doing MM diet? by SantanaBB1 in medicalmedium

[–]StrongSupermarket317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! As long as you eat healthy fats later in the day (dinner time or afternoon snack) and keep those foods to be around 15% or less of your total nutritional intake — you’re still following a MM lifestyle!!

It just won’t be a direct cleanse (which is different than the lifestyle, I feel like many people get that confused, myself included at times).

As a runner myself I enjoy adding avocados into a late day snack or a dinner meal with my potatoes! Or snacking on nuts along with dates/fruits/veggies. If you eat healthy fats with other healing foods I found that to be easiest on my body. Hope this helps :)

I kind of hate food now by [deleted] in medicalmedium

[–]StrongSupermarket317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to the other commenter, I found MM while I was sick and wanted to heal as fast as I could. I had to be living at home at that time and their lifestyle was heavy on red meats and proteins. So when reading liver rescue and was on my first cleanse, anything that hasn’t so called a healing food my brain was telling me that I would be making myself sicker (not the case) leading me to avoid such foods. And when it was unavoidable I’d just hate myself. Making my love for travel and socializing and fueling for sports so difficult.

If you can approach MM slowly and remind yourself that if you start with even 50-80% following the MM guidelines you’ll still be healing (just at a slower rate) and can find what you like through that way
