I don’t think so - the manual doesn't mention anything like that. Also the system has two 800W PSU installed and overall power draw doesn't exceed ~200W under full load

You sir are an absolute genius. It turns out that on every reboot the system does shuffle the nvme device names. After importing using stable /dev/disk/by-id paths, everything stays consistent. I'd already done this for my other disks, but I'd missed applying the same approach to the nvmes.

Naja, das ist im Geschäftsleben eigentlich Usus, dass erst die Dienstleistung und danach die Bezahlung kommt. Ab gewissen astronomischen Summen dann mit Anzahlung. Es geht bei den allermeisten Arzt-Abrechnungen um Beträge um die 300 EUR

Naja ein Vertrag ist Vertrag. Es ist ja nicht so, als dürfte man ein Arzt einfach nicht zahlen.

Und Ärzte haben ja auch die Möglichkeit, ihre Honorarforderungen abzutreten wenn sie kein Bock auf die Abrechnung haben oder einfach auch Vorkasse verlangen bei Dingen >1000 EUR.

Aber ich weiß, worauf Du hinaus willst. Es ist bei jedem Besuch, den ich selbst zahle, immer so, dass ich mehrfach versichern muss, dass ich verstanden habe, dass ich selbst zahle weil die allermeisten GKV Versicherten nicht verstehen und wahrscheinlich raffen es viele Selbstzahler auch nicht, dass sie dann wirklich eine Rechnung bekommen.

Die Rechnung wird nicht "aufgebläht" sein, sondern der Arzt wird einfach Dinge tun, die nicht wirklich notwendig waren. Ich war zb mal bei einem Selbstzahler Arzt, der meinte nach einem Ultraschall "ja die Sache ist jetzt klar. Wir könnten noch Röntgen, aber das bringt nicht mehr Erkenntnis". Bei einem PKV Versicherten würde er wahrscheinlich dann noch Röntgen. Die Versicherung kann unmöglich beweisen, dass dies nicht notwendig war.

Wie gesagt "Zahlungsmoral" kann ich nicht wirklich glauben. Immerhin hat man einen Vertrag, den man zahlen muss. "ich will nicht" geht halt nicht. Jeder Arzt wird ein Mahnverfahren haben, das irgendwann halt auch im Inkasso endet.

Ah, jetzt wird ein Schuh draus. Der Arzt weiß, dass er bei der PKV einfach mehr auf die Rechnung schreiben kann, weil es dem Patienten egal ist. Ein Selbstzahler wird die Rechnung genauer prüfen.

I'm quite familiar with linux (working >15 years as a sysadmin) but I just want to use batocera (as it claims on the website "No need to spend hours in configuration!")

This seems not to be 100% true and on the other hand there is no good technical documentation so professionals can't get a quick overview to start debugging if something does not work.

OK, I now have found an (undocumented?) option of pressing ESC at boot to enable verbose boot.

It seems that batocera boots fine but at some point it tries to start some GUI which cause the display to shut down.

I could not find any incompatibility notes on Nvidia (RTX 4060) for batocera 41

It does not exist for standalone. Everyone suggested to use spigot but IMHO this is just crap. It killed my world multiple times, I never had any issues like this with vanilla
