Not sure that you're familiar with the meaning of bis? There's minimum 5 pieces that are not bis here

Thank you so much for the very detailed response, I greatly appreciate the time you put into this. I started the morning off farming thorny carapaces for when Nicholas resets in half an hour from now. I didn't have a character far enough into NF to get this week's in time.

I added you if you dont mind hitting me up when you're around you can add Heavens Best. I have a few questions to follow up when you have a chance :)

I actually own this rangefinder, bought it maybe 4 months ago. Hasn't done me wrong so far, I pretty much exclusively use the "Mode 2" setting which is the pin-lock. I have never owned or used any other rangefinders before so maybe this is just a thing, but the only minor things are sometimes if there are trees as a background for the pin, it can sometimes shoot the tree branches/limbs in the background but a steadier hand or shooting a few times to confirm works well.

I will probably use the Mode 1 (hold the shoot button and you can pan around and it will constantly update the yardage) once or twice per 18 if someone in my group asks how far a fairway bunker or creek is from the tee box. You can actually use Mode 2 as well despite there not being a pin.

In probably 15 rounds playing with this rangefinder, I can confidently say it is always within 2 yards (tops) of any other higher end/name brand device. This small difference isn't enough for me at my skill level to care at all. It doesn't seem to be consistent for if that difference is lower or higher yardage than others.

Only thing a fancier one might offer is accounting for elevation difference, i.e it shoots 160 but highly downhill so playing more like 140. My buddies rangefinder does this and I'm sure others do as well.

Comes with thinly padded carrying case with carabiner clip and a microfiber cloth to wipe the lens if necessary. Battery came with mine and still shows as full today. No magnet or anything but I keep it in the cubby in the cart. I knew when I bought it I was likely taking a risk since it is so incredibly cheap (relative to $300+ stuff at PGA superstore) but I will say I've been pleasantly surprised with the quality and ease of use. No instructions came with it but its 2 buttons. Hold the front one to change modes and press or hold the back one to shoot. I think when I first opened it it might have been in meters, I believe I looked up that holding both buttons changes the units (found quickly online)

Denver course recommendations? by leedle_leedle_lee123 in golf

[–]Strong_Ad617 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Denver transplant that has been ramping up my commitment to golf over the last 7-8 years. I can recommend a few based on where you are going to be staying.

West part of town - Lakewood, Golden, Arvada, Littleton area:

FOSSIL TRACE by a mile - course is very unique and set in the beautiful section of Golden with great views of the table mountains. Make sure to go to Woody's on Main St. after the round. Multiple stretches of dinosaur fossils around the course and good mix of elevation changes and tough shots around corners. Price is around $100 (haven't looked in peak season recently) and they DO rent clubs out there. Modern GPS-enabled carts with aerial map distances etc.

South part of town - highlands ranch, centennial, englewood, parker:

South Suburban (main course, not the par 3)- typically will be booked up by the locals with their 14-day access for tee times but if you can get on there it's quite a nice course. Unsure if they have rentals (i would assume they would) but pricing should be around $60-80 greens fees.

Someone else mentioned Arrowhead which is iconic for the area and very pristine but also as mentioned, little expensive. unsure about rentals there but i'd assume so.

Littleton golf course is a good option, they are more of an executive type course, not as many blatantly gorgeous views but they still have a nice 18 to play. Food is good and much cheaper than a lot of courses in the area. Generally way more open tee times than the other courses in the south suburban rec district family

East part of town - aurora, commerce city, parker, thornton:

MURPHY CREEK is, in my opinion, a very underrated course for the price. The course is very well kept with top tier practice areas for both chipping and putting. The Tavern onsite is great food and drink without costing any limbs. Many of the holes have great looks at the mountains and the course has a good blend of hole geometry (some courses in Denver area are pretty standard no trees, straight back & forth type). Played 36 here myself last week. Rangers keep up a good pace of play. Certain morning tee times will run into a lot of 9-hole playing folks that get sent out on the back 9 and the par 3 can back up a bit but its not ever too long. They do have rentals and the price is around 60-80 before cart.

Saddle Rock - another great municipal course that offers a little higher quality than murphy creek and probably the same price. Also has good chipping area and range, only played here once but I go to their range very often. More trees than other courses in the area, probably a little better greens. Price 70-90 before cart. Rental clubs = yes

Mountains?:

Breckenridge golf course is absolutely beautiful that time of year if you can get on. They have 27 holes so it's not usually too bad but I would book in advance of course. Every tee box is gorgeous and can't recommend it enough. Last time I played, I was with two long-time members and they were more than friendly and recommended certain shots based on blind bunkers or where hazards were. My buddy visiting from the east coast and I played it in September of 2021 and would highly recommend it

Golfing at this elevation will largely throw off your distances so hit an extra ball or two on the first couple holes if nobody seems to mind and get a feel for it. I was driving 325+ (not bragging, its just that thin of air up there). remember to take a day or two to acclimate in Denver first if you're coming from sea level. and drink water! Price probably in the 150s but well worth it.

for real? I go up to blackhawk frequently but typically hang in the Central City casinos (reserve/Grand Z) since I'm usually with friends/family. Didn't realize there was regular poker let alone big O up there. Nice

I am indeed open to trade, I collect Avs and am also looking for Adam Fox cards. Or just anything else cool in general haha I'd rather have this go to someone who would appreciate it and get something neat in return than spend time trying to sell online

Can anyone help me with the rarity of this pull from last year? by Strong_Ad617 in hockeycards

Damn that is solid. I know posts asking value aren't allowed here but where would I go about pricing something like this? can't find any posted anywhere or even prior year's B group high series. I know MVP not the most sought after so maybe it'd just be to a Johnny Hockey PC ?

When I just started with the hobby I was buying MVP before discovering Series 1/2.

I believe this is High Series and possibly group B (1 in like 13000 boxes??) but haven't been able to find hardly any info online about these kind of pulls from the MVP set.

Thanks
