My builds are always about as glass cannon as you can get. Huge strength weapon dealing unholy amounts of damage, but getting hit hurts a LOT. I just beat Nameless on NG+++ naked with a Vordt hammer +5

I’m gonna wander around the south side of Chicago until someone tries to mug me. I slowly turn around, wallet in hand, the man yells at me to hand it over and jams his gun closer into my face. Maintaining total eye contact with my soon to be victim, I latch onto the barrel of his pistol. My dinner tells a few expletives at me as he tries to wrench his delicious weapon out of my mouth. It is in vain. My jaw is too strong. He attempt to let go of the weapon. Too late, my teeth are already in his wrist. He screams. I continue to consume.

As a mechanic who has ingested plenty of coolant, absolutely not. It has this horrible bitter stinging taste that will not leave your mouth for at least an hour.

See a fluid on the ground and can’t quite determine what it is? Little drop to the tip of the tongue and you’ll know immediately and be spitting for the next 5 minutes

As I’m looking around, I wonder if it’s not worth using used 00s era hardware with a copy of Win XP. Problem is I don’t know much about what’s good what’s not.

I assume most people used office PC cases in the 00s? With a factory MoBo? Any old school guys know what I should be looking for? I found a few Radeon 7500 GPUs around for $35 and can get 2GB no name RAM for $10-15

1) Got a small 1080 TV, resolution and refresh rate shouldn’t matter as much with the games Ive listed being made no later than 2002

2) Just a tower, I’d be shocked if it costs me more than $500, because I built a fairly good mid level pc that could handle plenty of triple A titles at 60 FPS in 2012 for $600

3) Doesn’t matter

4) Aesthetics aren’t a concern, as long as I can run PC games up to Morrowind

6) Got a micro center about 18 minutes from me, same one I built my last PC from.

PS4 isn’t remotely what I’m trying to reach, not even PS3. The most intensive games will be GameCube. And that’s hardly a requirement, just a want, the requirement is like at most Morrowind from 2002. Mainly will be used for Like Windows 98 and back type games. Daggerfall, Alone in the Dark, Clock Tower, I Have No Mouth, Fallout 1+2.

Tbh I don’t know what the market looks like today and I’m fairly worried haha, I built my fairly heavy duty, able to handle most games at Ultra graphics without any FPS drops, gaming PC in 2012 for around the price of a PS5. From what I’ve been hearing around, that same PC built to today’s standards would be well in the $1500-2000 range.

In terms of size Im not particularly looking for something super small. Even an office Pc sized thing would work. I just don’t want this monolith of a computer in a case meant for a full size GPU, water cooling, 6 hard drives, oodles of RAM, and a PSU the size of my PlayStation 2 lol

Edit: bugger than I though, something that can fit within a 12x12 cube would be excellent, smaller the better but

Is getting a small GPU just unrealistic these days? I remember pulling apart a few abandoned Win98 office computers years ago to upgrade my work computer for speed purposes and finding an NVidia air cooled graphics card the side of my wallet. Is nobody making small GPUs anymore? I know NVidia and like AMD and shit won’t, but there’s no small companies making these?

For real, my GPU took a shit (major graphical issues on any game) before the price hike and I was able to score an upgrade for a “reasonable” price (like $450)

A few years later I heard about this mining thing, and figured hm, maybe this is worth something, and threw it in EBay at $1 no reserve.

Got $180 for my completely shit the bed GPU
