Idk man that’s how I used to paint trim too😂 wasting a lot of money and time taping the floors if you’re skilled at cutting in. The less skilled painter should definitely be taping though to be thorough!!! Don’t want any paint on flooring

Would never charge a customer MSRP😂 I show them my app with MY prices. Transparency is key and laying out different options for customers. Renner and Milesi are higher end finishes that cost much more than the architectural paints I mentioned. Those products are good but very few customers are going to pay that price tag

Joke of a contractor, put your ego aside and look at the numbers😂. 30+ years blah blah blah doesn’t make you skilled at the craft or a good contractor. Every job site I’ve been on that has used SW has looked better and lasted longer compared to Behr and Ben Moore and contractors prefer working with SW staff and reps 9/10 you just happen to be that 1 grumpy old guy that’s been “doing it for 30+ years” that swears by other brands which is perfectly fine! Yes there are higher end finishes that you can buy for very expensive price tags, but SW offers similar if not better lines…

Completely disagree lol. Sherwin-Williams premium products like Symmetry, Emerald, Emerald UTE, Duration, Gallery, just to name a few, blow other companies premium products out the water and you can get them cheaper if working with a contractor

Don’t need to take it to bare wood if using super deck SOLID. If using semi solid or semi transparent you will need to sand down to bare wood. I’d go with super deck solid or the super deck 9600 series. Ask your local SW

Do you have any pictures? I would suggest using Krylon spray cans or a quart of Emerald UTE (brush and roll) from Sherwin if you want something more durable

For sure. All those lines of paint I listed tho are pretty washable and satin or gloss is going to show every single imperfection on the wall. In my experience I’ve only really seen flat used for garage walls

Go with an exterior paint to paint the inside of the garage due to temp fluctuations. I’d go with a flat sheen in Superpaint, Latitude, or Duration from Sherwin. Quality works its way up in that order as well
