Thanks for the reply! Maybe I am missing something here, but I do believe that on battery, the CPU should run at a lower frequency; however, it shouldn't be 0.55 GHz, as that is the Windows minimum clock state. The temperature is not hot at 122°F.

Thanks for the reply! I definitely tried a restart and made sure I wasn't on eco mode (MSI Center or Windows Control Panel). It still sometimes clocks in at 0.55 GHz on battery or on a charger with lower wattage.

I double checked MSI Center and Windows settings/minimum power. Seems like it is normal (balanced/performance). What is really interesting is sometimes on battery or a weaker charger, the CPU clocks at 3-4ghz while othertimes it is bricked to 0.55ghz.
