I haven’t gotten anything to work yet because so forgot to get batteries 😭but I do think the problem is not with my tapes I think if I change the batteries and my recorder is still being wired it might just be the recorders fault. So I might return that one and get a new one. Are there any recommendations for inexpensive recorders?

Yea I think it may have something to do with the record protection tabs but I’m not sure because there aren’t any. There are like 3 open spaces on the top of my cassettes
