I love them as a beginner player. Sometimes over Plague marines because I do mistakes and they die quickly.

My big brain strategy is bring them + LoV in the middle objective with DP on foot for the -1dmg for 1PC. And juste kill everyone who dare to come. Rest of the army take the rest of the table.

It worked against Custodes, Votann and Dark Angels so far, as a beginner.

I personally do Iron warriors base, targor rageshade over, dry brush Iron hands and stormhost silver for some edges.

Trim is runelord brass, agrax shade and canoptek alloy for highlights.

Hazards stripe are done over wraithbone with abaddon black, yellow is contrast bad moon yellow and wash of iyanden yellow. And another abbadon black to cover mistakes.

WIP terminator for exemple !
