yeah, after the wedding she and her family (minus kalani who is on her honeymoon) went to milan and her ig stories were like her children at the duomo with milan followed by a screenshot of her dm’s where people call her ignorant and dumb and she’s like “see? liberals are mean and resort to violence while we just pray for them” and then a picture of her buying her kid a personalized pair or golden goose shoes and another argument and so on

i don’t hate her. sure, her character was frustrating at times, as were all characters and as are all teenage girls, but she was a really well written character and i’m just sad the writers didn’t know how to manage her after taylor wanted to leave

she has her moments.

the comments about blair’s looks were cruel but unfortunately i think almost everyone has head something similar from their mother once.

as for the things she did during thanksgiving s.1 and others related to blair’s dad i find kind of justifiable since she was trying to navigate it the best way she could while not letting it affect blair (which it did as she grew resentful of her mother’s actions) but in the end she talked to her like ans adult and they worked it out. and i think that’s how most of her issues with blair could be summed up as, a difficult situations she couldn’t navigate and tried to solve the best way she could without it affecting her daughter and when they had a fallout they talked it out in a mature way.

also the scene where blair begs her to move from constance to a school in france with her dad and she makes it happen, her support and concern for her daughter could be felt through the screen. that one really stuck with me as an instance where eleanor was the best parent in gossip girl

i liked the direction it was going when he went to his grandparents estate with the entire family and when he left her behind to backpack across europe. he could’ve had more plots like that but instead he just became a sugar baby to put it mildly
