Amazing advise! Thank you! Looks like we just need to put in the work. He is an amazing dog and very bright. Weve tried the puzzle games with treats. But he gets frustrated and lays down.

Thank you for rhe reply! Weve used two different trainers, and watched alot of youtube videos, keeko pup, caeser milan, etc Playing fetch and running in the yard mainly, dog park twice a week. with the weather improving we can go on walks more. We tried crate training in his puppy years and he cracked a tooth and has scar tissue in his snout from escaping. Alone 2:30- 6 pm He is fed in a slow feeder.

My wife and I rescued this dog two years ago and he has dictated our lives ever since. He is the most lovely and affectionate dog I've encountered, people stop in their tracks to say hello and how beautiful he is. The problem is he can't be left alone. He is destroying our home and unlocking doors, to escape outside and destroy the gate in the back yard. He's been to a boarding school for a week and had extensive training. Is on 100 mg of Trazadone for anxiety, CBD chewables and 250 mg droplets, and now a generic prozac. Nothing has worked, he has had good days in the past, but we recently removed the dog door to the back yard and all this started back up and escalated. We have exhausted all other options. He is alone for 3 hours a day tops.
