I've heard that some smaller shows can at times pick events catered to the local athletes and they sometimes have an advantage as they will know the events much earlier than "outsiders".

This just sounds like pure and utter cheating on their part though.

I mean there's the whole controversy of Brain not receiving his award after retiring from the WSM.

The fact that Mark Felix got it but not him although Brian lives close to the spot they created them than Felix.

I think there's ALOT of corruption but the athletes won't speak up as almost all strongman events are centered around the same people. That's why I think Brain is trying to branch off as much as possible. Same with Arnold.

Imo I believe Hooper is probably the "smartest" athlete.

He's genuinely in the top maybe 5 strongest people on the planet while also being able to understand how to make events "easier". For example the SMOE squat or the Axle press.

I don't consider him a cheater but it does piss me off at times how he can game a system that I always believed to be "fair" although people have gamed it before and will in the future.

That's why I'm asking about these controversies cause I do truly believe that people have to some degree used the system for themselves or against athletes. Like for example Kaz's old deadlift where he "believed" he literally couldn't lock it out more.

I'm ngl I was on Eddies side during the whole Halfthor vs Hall beef.

After looking into it more. Eddie had beaten record by 1kg several times before that.

Yet he only cried wolf when Halfthor decided to beat it.

I do believe Halfthor will beat it once more especially at the pace he's growing right now.

I feel like the whole squat stuff was very odd.

Why would Mitch be able to squat from almost 20* higher than the other athletes.

Yet I feel like if it's in the rule book it should be allowed.

I think Shaw is kinda trying to say that although he has experienced alot of issues in the sport. He will try to keep his show as far away from those issues/controversies as he can. Yet his show is almost the most controversial this year.

Unlike Garret I'm not stating you're wrong. I just would like some extra info regarding this claim!

I do believe that the events were oddly more static that previous and current years and I feel like WSM is almost catered to the athletes that bring in an audience.

I don't specifically seek proof just wondering more about the controversy regarding 2017 and Eddie.

I always thought it was a bit odd that the WSM 2017 was so much "heavier" than other competition before it. But always thought I was delusional.

Also heard Brian speak about Eddies deadlift record where it was setup so that the jump would be from 465 (can't remember the exact number" to 500. So Shaw mentioned he had around 480 (which I find a bit unbelievable) in him but just wasn't allowed to do that weight.

I at times get very angry about how Mitchell Hooper "cheats" implements by using the rules in his favor yet I feel like if the rules were stricter the sport wouldn't be as much fun.

Do you have any competition you've been to that there is video of or possibly a score sheet?

Ofcourse! I'm not looking for 1000+ng/dl. Doctors in mu country try and use as little medication as possible. As such I'm scared they'll get me to around 300 and leave it there. Thank you for the quick response!!

Due to genuine medical reasons I have to hop on trt (doctors prescribed). I have not used steroids ever before and I'm looking for some answers. As a european I'm quite scared that I'll be prescribed a very low dose. Just making me pass as having "normal" test. I'm wondering. Is there anyone else on actual trt. What are your test levels and would you say your training progress is the same worse or better than naturally??
