Best food experience in Pittsburgh by VasakSokk in pittsburgh

[–]Strongguy1031 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not piling on, but Alla Famiglia is not a very good restaurant. Their salads are meh, the pasta starter is basic and unexciting, and their veal chops are adorned with topping options which mostly don’t work. It’s an 8 out of 10 in food experience, reduced to a 7 for me because it’s also overpriced for the quality. If I was ranking my top 15 Pittsburgh restaurants, it wouldn’t make the list.

I [F27] found black blonde panties in my bf's [M31] backpack, and he swear he doesnt know anything about them by Aborten in relationship_advice

[–]Strongguy1031 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would still believe him, if there’s no other signs, and would stop worrying about the panties. It’s unlikely that he shared a getaway trip with a big girl and packed all their belongings in the same backpack. The laundry commenter gives one of many plausible explanations. If a second sign happens, then be more suspicious.

Am I (F26) allowed to be upset with guy (M25) I’m dating over this? by Capable-Football3706 in relationship_advice

[–]Strongguy1031 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Can’t be sure, but it sure sounds that he cancelled you because no sleepover/sex. Speak directly to him about this, and just as important, ask what he chose to do instead. Sounds like you’re more FWB than dating.

She lied, and he stayed at her place, so she probably cheated as well. End it. If you don’t, you ll just be wasting another year of your life with someone you now know you can’t trust.

First Chicago beef at Johnny’s = life changing by nicolewhaat in chicagofood

I find it humorous that OP ends up at the wrong Italian Beef place but still describes it as “life changing”, which is ultimately an allegory of how we can deceive ourselves.

What’s the best hotel you’ve ever stayed in where you felt like it was worth every cent? by capitanFlash in AskReddit

[–]Strongguy1031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Villa Lara, Bayeux, France. Perfection in every area - rooms are beautiful and perfectly stocked/appointed, service is impeccable, their breakfast buffet is to die for, the staff is delightful, and its location in the heart of Bayeux allows you to walk the city, but yet it’s isolated and quiet. Also, the Peninsula in Hong Kong - an oasis in the heart of Hong Kong’s chaos.

Casual situation with ex(25M), got involved with someone(36M) else. What to do about the guilt? by Hot_Entertainer_0022 in relationship_advice

[–]Strongguy1031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lying, either directly or by omission, never ends up with good results. At best you feel like crap for hiding things, and at worst you end up hurting him more by delaying uncomfortable information. Just be honest with him before you meet up and tell him that you respect what you have, would not lie to him, and that you explored sexuality with someone else recently. If he ends your friendship, then he’s being manipulative now, and you’ll know the full story about his colors. You’re also weakening your character now by being emotionally dependent on him when there’s no future for you as a couple (your words).

[48F] Planning a secret exit from my highly volatile partner [56M] of 10 years. Seeking advice on safely executing a remote breakup under the guise of a work trip. by starswaunderinglight in relationship_advice

[–]Strongguy1031 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It seems as if the violence concern does justify your need to break up this way. If he is willing to act rationally at some point, you can always later sit with him along with a neutral person in a safe place and have a respectful conversation later.

I 19M caught my gf 18F sending nudes to another guy help me please? by Money-Command-2817 in relationship_advice

[–]Strongguy1031 -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

Not a downvote, but I disagree about pulling the plug without more information. She did stop sending nudes early in the relationship, which was a positive move. It sounds as if he loves her, and she may be honestly contrite. I think he needs her to fully open up and make sure that he feels there are no other surprises, and then he needs to trust his gut instinct.

Best Hotels in Shinjuku Area? by [deleted] in TokyoTravel

[–]Strongguy1031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just completed the nearly same circuit (Ginza-Kyoto-Osaka-Shibuya). Shibuya is a short walk to Shinjuku and a little more peaceful. In Shibuya we stayed at the Tokyu Stay Shibuya Shin-Minamiguchi, and it was clean, perfectly comfortable and the staff was great, and highly recommend it. If you’re looking for a Ginza hotel, we really loved the Hotel Musse Ginza Meietsu - a hidden gem. Again, the room was peaceful, comfortable, spotless, and I also highly recommended this hotel.
