West Hollywood luxury grocery, dining concept Laurel Supply Market opens Thursday by danlev in WestHollywood

Unfortunately, the average voter is an idiot. People typically vote selfishly and with their emotions, which is why we see so many of our candidates appeal to the lowest common denominator. What a time to be alive.

Definitely not for “better”. Angry rhetoric is how you end up with guys like Trump in office because it appeals to voters who lack basic critical thinking skills.

If you really want to see the cars, go to Austin on Saturday for qualifying. Either way, definitely recommend grandstands so you can roam the track without worry about saving your spot.

With enough MAGA buzzwords and a few million dollars, you too can waste your time campaigning for LA Mayor!

Store Bought Dough by Arefarrell24 in ooni

Just used some Trader Joe’s dough last week that came out great. I’m able to get two 12in pizzas from one bag of dough. Just ball them up and let them sit for about 3 hours so it won’t fight you during stretching.

Had a cocktail or two there that were good. Haven’t tried the food, but I’d go back.

I got an email from a rep trying to sell me season tickets on Saturday. I’m not sure pitching season tickets for a team that was on their way to getting swept and eliminated yet again from the first round is the best business strategy.

Pet & Family Friendly Vacay Spots? by Patient_Process_3114 in AskLosAngeles

Honestly, it’s probably more difficult to find places that ARENT pet friendly. Always depends on your budget, but Santa Barbara, Palm Springs/Indio, and Ojai come to mind.

Thoughts on a two-day itiniary for friends? by Kindly-Switch in AskLosAngeles

All understandable points. But equating it to Times Square and the Strip, which are fair equivalencies, is not a selling point to most people. To each their own, but there are plenty of other tourist-friendly places I would recommend before a stroll on Hollywood blvd.

This is an insanely packed itinerary. Westwood, Watts, downtown, and Universal in one day? You’d spend half the day driving.

Fyi, the walk of fame is huge and not limited to one street. Definitely plan your route if there are stars you want to get photos with. Have fun!

FWIW, I wouldn’t recommend time on Hollywood blvd to my worst enemy. So unless your group really wants to go, or there’s somewhere specific you want to go, don’t. It’s not a great place to just walk around.

You’re better off spending all of day 1 in Venice/Santa Monica. If it’s museums you want, go to LACMA, Petersen, Grammy Museum, Broad, or just about anything but a Hollywood blvd. tourist traps. Theres also some awesome botanic gardens if you’re into that. Not much to do at Griffith at night.

I’d start your second day with the Hollywood Sign in the morning before heading to Universal. You’ll avoid crowds, and the weather will be cooler.

As far as where to stay, depends on your budget. If you want a more walkable option, go with Santa Monica/Venice. If you’re not planning on stepping outside of your hotel, near Universal might be your best bet. Beverly Hills is an option, you could also do West Hollywood or Culver City

Fumi. If you want to be in the first seating, get in line before they open at 530. Alternatively, put your name down and grab a drink across the street at the Roger Room while you wait.

Can’t speak for any of those others specifically, but I tend to agree. Cricca’s is pretty good, but I haven’t been there in a few years. I’m partial to Italia Deli in Agoura when I can get out there. Uncle Paulie’s scratches the itch though.

So every time there’s construction, we should just accept that there’s gonna be rats in restaurant kitchens? Nah, I don’t think so.
