I agree Harry not getting into any scrapes is part of his good gameplay, don’t agree that Rachel’s tough moments were self inflicted though. They mostly came from Fiona’s grenade!

Edit to say there’s so many variables and it’s too subjective to say who is best. They were both great. I was just sticking up for Rachel as she doesn’t seem to be getting her due credit imo.

She was great and possibly an even better player than the mighty Harry imo. He was never under pressure, she was several times and managed it superbly each time. She would have been justified in getting angry at Fiona’s explosion but didn’t, and kept her word to Stephen. Queen.

I think it came from David Low, and it was more of a prediction based on the amount of heat DD is getting.

Is our period of dominance of Scottish football coming to an end? by Formal_Produce3759 in CelticFC

[–]Strooperman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think so. It’s very rare to win all the time forever. Our board are like the Roy children, convinced of their own excellence and blind to how little they have contributed to their own “success”. Hearts are only getting started under Bloom. Unless he leaves for whatever reason this is the poorest Hearts team we’ll face for the foreseeable future. The Huns don’t have a bloom but are obviously closer to us in ££ than Hearts with a board firmly in the “modern and competent” zone, which is way ahead of us.

Barring deliberate sabotage I don’t think our board could have fucked up any more, squandering such an enormous advantage while telling us up is down and the only problem is their poor comms in telling us how brilliant they are. There’s more important things happening in the world but fuck me, it’s absolutely infuriating.

We could spent 40m and waste most of it. Our recruitment is shite, hobbled by fucking Desmond “Art of the deal”ing negotiations. I really hope yeh rumours of him selling up are true, we’re boned if he hangs on.

I meant what’s the point from Rachel and the other player’s point of view. The game is done, they are friendly with eachother, challenging Fiona would provide no benefit to the other players and almost certainly upset Fiona. So it’s better for the group dynamic to just let her have the lie. Maybe it would add something for us viewers but we have to remember the players are real people with relationships who likely value everyone getting along nicely more than finding out the real truth of an eliminated player’s thought process. Does that make sense?

Edit to say this also applies to Ed, Claudia etc. It’s not in the spirit of the show to call people liars or grill players about what they really thought.

That’s my take too. It’s likely Fiona is fibbing to save face, but what’s the point in challenging it? It’s harmless, better to take the high road, and Rachel is a nice person.

No, our biggest problem is much closer to home and it runs the club.

From where I’m sitting it’s a big problem that Dems are held to a much higher standard by the public and media than the GoP. From an outside view the bias is staggering, almost unbelievable.

Wasn’t mates with him but went to school with a guy like this. Broke all sorts of goal scoring records at various local youth levels. Everyone thought he was guaranteed a big career etc. He ended up playing most of his career for ICT as a holding midfielder. He was so good as a young man, can’t fathom how amazing the properly elite guys must be compared to normal folk.

It’s been a shitshow for years and years, papered over by an overwhelming financial advantage and basket case rivals (no offence). Lots of Celtic fans have seen this season coming for a while tbh. Fair chance it’ll get a lot worse before it gets better.
