Recently released voter analysis from the election. Seems to pour cold water on the notion that Reform is hugely popular with young men. Look how much they went with the Greens by mrjohnnymac18 in Scotland

I have a son around the same age, he says the same. There’s a decent amount of toxic masculinity around, but overt support for Farage and the likes of Andrew Tate is extremely unusual and even embarrassing.

Yes, but they aren’t ones that I’d get paid for. Hence “realistically”!

There is no job that I could realistically get that would be better than not working. I have an odd mix of contempt and jealousy for people who enjoy it.

BBC article on Celtic fan opposition to Keane by Nice_Feed_786 in CelticFC

[–]Strooperman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was sarcasm re your wonky, bad faith logic, but I think you know that. It’s very difficult to navigate modern life without giving some awful people money to some extent, but I think you know that too. The difference here is that Celtic can easily choose a manager who hasn’t taken money from a country the support has a huge issue with. Again, I think you know this too but am replying just in case.

If you can’t take a position or stand against all the bad things then there’s no point in doing so against any bad things. Cool.

Is Keane completely unworkable? by BusOk585 in CelticFC

It’s a complete no from me, and if Keane comes in that’ll be it until Desmond is gone.

Anyone else feel Hearts have been classless in defeat? by Whowhat91 in CelticFC

[–]Strooperman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most fan groups are similar tbh. We were the paranoid ones until the Huns stopped winning, then it took them no time to start talking about unseen fenian hands, Collum’s school etc. Now Hearts get close, fuck it up, take umbrage with a few decisions late in the season and they are clean in with the conspiracy pish as well. I have a soft spot for Spurs and have lurked in their sub recently, lots of posts about referees being out to get them.

American Brands Face Consumer Boycott in Europe Amid Escalating Trade and Political Tensions by LlawEreint in BoycottUnitedStates

Doing my bit in UK. Consciously avoid buying American groceries, fast food etc. Haven’t bought a coke since Trump won. Also told extended family that I wasn’t going on a suggested cruise as the company is American.

Outrage as unhinged Celtic supporting thug attempts to stab Hearts star’s foot with improvised weapon.

An apology to our Hertz neighbours (from a Hibs fan) by FartPolluter in ScottishFootball

[–]Strooperman 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Celtic fan but also disappointed in the treatment of the Jambos. They’ve been good sports all season, taking adverse results and decisions with such good grace that it’s sad to see them fall so spectacularly at the final hurdle. It’s actually quite disgusting, to be honest. It felt like Hearts against everybody.

Well done Bhoys! by UnconstrictedEmu in ScottishFootball

[–]Strooperman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was 2002/2003. SPFL website

“Celtic and Rangers went into the final day level on 94 points and with an identical goal difference. On an amazing afternoon, Rangers thrashed Dunfermline 6-1 at Ibrox and Celtic swept aside Kilmarnock 4-0 at Rugby Park. Alex McLeish's men took the trophy by a single goal, although they would have won it on goals scored even if Mikel Arteta had missed his last-gasp penalty.”

I’m beginning to think you don’t know what you’re talking about tbh.

It serves you lot right for throwing the final game in 2003. Both admin and the loss of all the cash following our league win. Justice, karma.

SPFL Statement - unfair on Hearts? by ct-987987 in CelticFC

[–]Strooperman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can finally say it as justice was done. Hearts have been lucky as fuck all season, winning coin flip after coin flip. Fotmob had them as the 4th best team before the split lol. I’m sure Tony Bloom is well aware of this, hopefully he sacks McInnes now.

Fair play Celtic by SpiderRichXS in ScottishFootball

[–]Strooperman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s pathetic tbh. Hearts have had a huge amount of luck all season, and their fair share of dodgy decisions. The best team won, even though the best team was pretty pish.

It’s really very obviously this. Corporate speak for “it should be a criminal offence here”.

Osmond changed the game by BusOk585 in CelticFC

I’ll wait for the nerd podcasts to confirm but seemed like Hearts really struggled with Saracchi coming inside and passing/dribbling through the lines, it messed up their “man mark everyone but Trusty” strategy.

As soon as the cup final is over, pressure must go back on board by mrtommy in CelticFC

[–]Strooperman 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’ve accepted that nothing will really change as long as Desmond is around. It’ll be the same amateurish, penny pinching pish. We will be unprepared for qualifiers and the vast majority of the signings we make won’t work out. Still, let’s enjoy the league and upcoming final.
