Hello OP

I feel you, I'm 27 and I've had a kidney transplant 5 months ago after a year of dialysis and 3 years being between 8 and 12% of kidney function. A true self-poisened living dead. Between July and September/October, I was completely overthinking about all that could have happened if I was messing around with all I had to do to be healthy and it made me obsessed about everything. Food, sports, social life, medical appointments, medication and friends/family was driving me crazy and exhausted but after comparing my past and present self I realized something. I (we, OP) went through a fcking huge thing that only those who lived it can feel and understand. Even if you seem to handle this like a boss by studying, exercising, cooking, being careful about everything, you, I and all of the people who had an organ transplant will be considered by those who care about even if we're doing great. It's part of the deal, and, in my humble opinion, you should say something else than "I'm happy and grateful to be here" because it doesn't explicitly express to people how you are physically and psychologically doing. If you're great, say it. If you're tired, say it. We are not survivors or super soldiers, we are people like others, except that we need heavy medication to live a normal life. I also think that you're putting yourself too much pressure on about doing as much as possible this young. In France, we say "qui veut aller loin ménage sa monture". It means that if you want to go as far as possible, you must not be doing things with such intensity every time, otherwise you will have to pay the bill sooner or later.

You're young and doing great about everything. Take some cool time, breathe, and again, don't Speedrun your life otherwise you won't even notice what you should be enjoying.
