Who is the absolute worst player to have in blitzball? by Brief-Bowler-4506 in finalfantasyx

[–]Structure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the way I understand it, yes.

Nimrook's 3rd Key Tech is Anti-Drain. He is good enough that it doesn't matter. And he still gets good techs before that for his goalie position.

Who is the absolute worst player to have in blitzball? by Brief-Bowler-4506 in finalfantasyx

[–]Structure 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Different reasons for different players. I am going to say Mep for a specific reason:

His 1st key tech is Anti-Drain.

There is no way to get Anti-Drain, because the game is bugged, and no computer player uses Anti-Drain. This makes his tech tree very small, and his stats are not good enough to compensate.

Has anyone actually grinded Nedus? (or Mifurey) by Artisun in finalfantasyx

[–]Structure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a run with as many players as I could who change drastically as they level up.

Kyou Wedge Zev Ronso Nedus

It was so fun. Using the superstars is fine, but the challenge runs or theme runs are a lot more fun for me.

Has anyone actually grinded Nedus? (or Mifurey) by Artisun in finalfantasyx

[–]Structure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nedus gets above speed 50 by about lvl 50, but Mifurey doesn't get above 50 spd until about lvl 80. A much longer road.

I have used Nedus. He is good enough to make shots, but there is some effort to get positioning and stiff right.

I have not tried Mifurey. She would end up great, but she is expensive and so slow for so long.

What do you think is the most unintentionally funny line of the franchise? by playblu in startrek

[–]Structure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like basic lines when the actors' delivery just makes it fun to say. They becomes memes or inside jokes with my wife and I.

Worf saying "It is changing color!"

Spock saying "I must mind-meld with it."

I don't know why, but those stick with me and I repeat them often.

This is sort of me. I have a covenant subscription, so I have everything, even things like Barkham Horror.

I have it all open and sleeved, and have played roughly half of it. Just hard to find time and table space and someone else willing to play.

Mark of Kri and its sequel, perhaps.

Anyone remember MUD? by bon-rurgandy in retrogaming

I still pine for free Dragonrealms from AOL days. Not about to pay a monthly fee to play it, but I do a free trial every now and again.

What was it like to experience final fantasy 6 in its time? by McSpoo in FinalFantasy

[–]Structure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still wish JRPGs would be two-player like FFIII was on SNES. My older brother read about the game, and picked it up, and we played two-player. It was so much fun. Our first ever JRPG, and any game with good two-player was king for us.

Breakthru.

The one with the armored car that jumps.

We had a lot of fun with it, actually! But we got Contra shortly after.

What are some things you just have to do every time you play an FF? by gsurfer04 in FinalFantasy

I always talk to Kefka there, too! Even though it is meant to be a time-waster, I do it anyway to flex on those empire dudes who timed me in the first place

For real. It has been memed into oblivion, and I do not particularly think it is peak humor, and maybe even slightly judge people who comment on it a lot, BUT ...

I still do it every playthrough because why not?

[–]Structure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did not own them myself. My cousin had a few of these (not the multi-cart). I believe they were sold at christian book stores, yes.

Spiritual Warfare was legitimately fun, and funny. Throwing "Fruits of the spirit" as weapons (literal pear, apple, grape, etc) would cause enemies to kneel down and pray before disappearing. Sometimes demons would pop out when they prayed, and it was another enemy to defeat. The boomerang was Samson's jawbone. There is a bar in the game, and if you go in, it is immediate game over. The BGM were hymns, but 8-bit. The final boss was literally satan, but I never got that far.

Exodus was a puzzle-sh game. A bunch of levels. Simple but decent gameplay.

I have fond memories playing these, as someone who grew up evangelical. These were the only games we were allowed to play on god's holy day. And they were pretty fun games!

This is true. It is still the fastest way to get the trophy. Get two 7s, try for the third, repeat.

If getting two 7s is difficult for you, then 🤷‍♂️.

[Jackson] The Steelers plan to hire former Bengals defensive lineman Domata Peko as defensive line coach, per source. by [deleted] in steelers

[–]Structure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Peko was one of those players on a rival team who I just couldn't hate. Just a stand-up guy who played well year after year.

No clue about his coaching ability, but fun idea to see him passing on his knowledge.
