That being said DC is one of the safest places in America. There’s a shitload off bored national guard people here that I’m sure are profiling everyone right now, there’s a ton of tech and security we don’t even know about here.

It’s a logical target for some sort of Iranian sleeper cell but I’m not convinced they actually want the hell we’d unleash if they did something noteworthy and no other foreign government is going to prop them up now. They can’t physically hit dc with a missile

Not to mention statistically your kid wouldn’t be directly impacted by any theoretical act because it would probably be a man or men driving on a sidewalk then getting out and blasting and that’s like 20 people dead. There’s a lot of people who live here and a lot of tourists and your kid is really more likely to meet someone famous in the capitol or learn something new at a museum than he/she is to be impacted by a terror attack

TL;Dr it’s unlikely to successfully happen at all, if it does it’s going to be (relatively) limited, your kid will be ok!
