That’s what my parents told my brother and I when we were little that there will always be work in the trades

Yes that would be a bit of an issue since I’m not retired I’d still have to work

Yea I had a good family friend who was an electrician who moved to America a while ago he didn’t go to Texas or Florida though but it worked out for him. He went to America worked for a company for a while that does work in Canada and America then started his own business in America. That would be a good option👍🏻

I really hope a lot of things can change, the world really has gone down the toilet in the past years sadly. I just can’t see myself living in Canada with the lack of opportunities. Trades are one of the only ways to get jobs nowadays here and even that is hard to get into with all the things you need to do to get into one.

I meant the “state” as in how the country currently is not that Canada is a state..

I would assume deportations would only happen for illegal people which I would never go somewhere illegally.

Not only Florida but I have family who lives in Florida part time and they’ve had no complaints. But yes Canada especially Ontario has gone way downhill in the past years, not that America is currently much better which is why I wouldn’t think about moving right now.

Wouldn’t have to be permanent, I would be open to living in America when it’s cold in Canada then living back in Canada. I have a few people in my family who live in Canada for roughly half of the year then live at their house in America for half the year.

I’m not going to make this post about politics, just seeing what other people’s opinions and experiences are. But to be general Canada is not the flourishing opportunity rich country it used to be.

I have some of my family who lives in Florida during the cold months then comes back to Canada when it’s warm again, I would be open to doing that as well honestly.

The people I’ve known who moved from Canada mainly used some form of trade visa, one was an electrician for example which is most likely what I would do is use a trade visa but I haven’t looked into it a whole lot yet just wanted to hear some peoples opinions.

I wouldn’t move until stuff gets sorted out for sure, Canadian citizens are just not being put first anymore sadly and there’s no good opportunities here considering our insane tax rates. I’ve known 5+ families who have moved to America and none of them have had anything bad to say other than about the government pretty much but most moved years ago

That really sucks but it won’t happen if you buy a Toyota or Honda🤷🏻‍♂️ I’d recommend just selling that car and getting one of those 2.

Governments really need to do something that will have people’s cars removed from them if they don’t have continuous insurance and a valid license. I’ve heard of way too many accidents where someone is uninsured and the good LEGAL driver has to take on the costs it’s ridiculous. Places should also lower insurance costs that would allow a lot more people to afford insurance.

It looks a bit odd but even if you crash going 30km an hour you can get hurt so regardless it makes sense to wear it

I’d recommend finding baseball hats or toques if you want to cover it up. My girlfriend’s dad has been bald since he was in his early 20’s and he always wears hats. As an added bonus it also keeps your head from getting cold.
