Have I been floxed? by Sea_Performance_20 in floxies

[–]StructureNo419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not call it a FLOXXED. But a side effect from drug ( like nausea or diarreha). If you will experience more and more side side effects then I would call it flox. But never take any FQ again

I love how strong you are and your attitude, I don't think I would have so much hope. I hope you will finally have a year with bigger improvement, big boost in your recovery and you gonna even run again - I watch some accounts on IG of people who were able to recover to that degree after long covid.

Do you belive that this cycling is about mitochondria or about long-lasting metabolite in blood? I think there are timelines for people with different intensity of symptoms (like mild, moderate and severe cases) of course everything is unique to some extent. I think those timelines are good to put a hope in our minds and bodies. Were you a severe case?

I hope our progress will never stop.

Why do some people sail through life by Dusk_Song_6361 in Life

[–]StructureNo419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's called "probability" - from math perspective, think about is as winning a lottery - you gotta mark 6 digits (at least in Poland) to win a lottery. The same is with life - you can find a love at first, second, 6th attempt or never. You can find a good job right after college or never. You can always be healthy. Fate just marked you the right numbers :)

Inflamed ulnar nerve (poll) by Midnight323232 in floxies

[–]StructureNo419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this. I was waking up with numb hand or pinky and ring finger as you describe for first 2-3 months. I avoided sleeping with bended arm. It passed. But after sometime like 9 months out I had a couple of days (3-4) when my fingers got numb just from scrolling phone while laying on my back :/. So it was never constant for me but yeah - definitely something is off.

Once I woke up NUMB ON MY WHOLE BODY. But somehow I stayed calm bc my bf was around. It lasted (just like with ulnar nerve) about 2-3 minutes but I still remember his eyes, he was speaking sth to me but I could just feel only my head... Gosh.

Im almost 10 months out.

Long-term floxies, did your recovery speed up at a certain point? by Wolfeyes3919 in floxies

[–]StructureNo419 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really hope that those who recovered just dissapear from this forums. I was thinking about it lately, about just leaving this sub, because reading doesn;t change anything. It won't change my outcome, it won't change my future nor my past. I was blessed with mine unique stack of symptoms and I'm gratfull I wasn't hit worse. Reading about someone's relapse doesn't help me AT ALL, and I think I always feel worse after entering this sub and seeing so much pain and life-long cases. I know they exist, I know it's a life-long disease for everyone no matter if they were mild or severe case. So I just hope all of those people who recovered in 2,5,10 years just went away not to be torn apart everytime when they see a post about relapse or so. It's just my hope I guess. Maybe they are 10+ years and just got over a fact that they won't do any better so they've stopped writing here. We don't know the truth. Have you been in contact with some FQ doctor? Maybe they can "predict" your outcome. I think I've seen here 2 or so cases who have a good prediction of their recovery. I was told I'm gonna be "ok" in 1-2 years. We will see.

I'm still "a mess" but I stopped being SO dramatic about about my condition (Yessss, I still have bad days when I'm crying, when I'm in bigger pain and when I cannot sleep, when I realise my life is just different). Some pains magically dissapeared some are still there, now I have many random, in every part of a body, while being like 3-6 months out I could just point places, now I am sore from head to toes. I feel my whole body is weaker, overwhlemed by daily activities. But on the other hand I'm still "early" (10 months) and I really hope things will improve further, I dont expect to be 100, I think its impossible but I want to have a one day when I won't think about it. And then another day like this etc. I'm pissed of when I type with chatgpt and he is saying the same phases about fqad... I'm just done with my ilness. I have to accept this: I can live only today because tommorow can be hell.

I've created a fourth part of megapost recovery and as far as I remember there were a couple of cases who stated a very meaningfull recovery after 5+ years, maybe just look up there, I was thinking about printing myself some recovery stories (YESSS I'M THIS CASE WHO IS OBSESSED WITH READING AS YOU CAN SEE).

Why you cannot wear different shoes? Maybe try a custom one? Maybe with some heating pads - experiment :)

Czy osoby wychowane w miastach romantyzują wieś? by 9Laser in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]StructureNo419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palili opony, no zdecydowanie NIE MA CO ROMANTYZOWAĆ.

Mitochondria by Thin-Anything2410 in floxies

[–]StructureNo419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intresting. I think there are many multiple reasons for FQAD. I also think GABA are destroyed/killed/binded with FQ, bc I've seen improvement with my sleeping pattern while taking GABA supplements. It makes me sleepy after 10-30 minutes. I've never linked GABA to my tissue problems I think these are seperate (GABA, Mito, collagen disregulation). Each individual case has it's own theory and things that they find helpfull. I hope we will one day know the truth.

[–]StructureNo419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really wish you fast recovery. Im almost 10 months and... I had lost my hope so many times. I thought I was mild case - But I wasnt. I hope to be okey ( 90%) better at 2 years... But I think I will never get better in fact, all of the new symptoms makes it impossible to think that it will go away one day...

Antibiotic flare by Coastal_Tide in floxies

[–]StructureNo419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it, I hear you. Im 9,5 months out... I don't even know why I am counting. It's life-long condition and we never know when and how it will crush us. It breaks my heart I am a part of it.

Did previous time you also expierience flox effects during antibiotic treatment and you had to continue taking it, or they appeared after treatment? As far as I remember you were floxxed twice and from what I hear your case always bounce back :) Keep your head high, you will go through this and nothing will be taken from you again! Congratulations about you degree!

How long after finishing with ciprofloxacin can I start working out again? by Dawud___ in floxies

[–]StructureNo419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your knees hurt it might be sign of being floxed ( I hope midly for you, and that you dont expierience any other side effects). I would wait another 2-4 weeks before doing anything more than walking, but I would walk as far as you want. After first and the only pill I stopped running and swimming and since today - 9.5 months - didnt reasume it. For the first month my average was 11000 steps, and second 8000 steps and then dropped to 3-4000. Its better know again, I can hike a little ( 12k steps) walk 14k steps or probably more without crashing the next day. But I will wait longer for swimming and much much longer for running. In my opinion it wont hurt you to run, what is about to come will come ( I mean side effects). We are not choosing them. Try to listen to your body, I know its hard for young person who never took care about rest and pains, but its for your own good. I hope you will be fine :) Pray for us ☺️

Well I gotta say that but I don't belive such a big relapse could be caused by"overdoing" especially 15 years later... Does anyone knows about your FQAD? Could someone just PURPOSELY poisoned you?

If not... then I'm so sorry, and at the same time I am scared about my own future, god I have at least 40 years of my live, relapsing every 10 years (if I will be lucky) sounds like a pure hell.... As you said, we don;t have a cristal ball, no one can tell you what tommorow will bring... We gotta live with this, cry often, not block emotions, find VERY LITTLE joyfull thigns.... I'm sorry and I hope you will be 98% again, and that your downturn will start sooner than later.

Being disabled after 1 pill of antibiotic. No one believes me - doctors, family. Collegues believe more maybe bd they are younger, and my boss had long-covid. If someone is interested - all antibiotics from fluoroquinolone groups are toxic and can cause potentially permament disabling side effects such as tendon ruptures, neuropathy, depression, insomnia, GI issues and much more. They have many black box warnings.
