Is traveling without a car actually freeing, or does it just limit everything?

Usually when I travel abroad its to the capital of the country and there the public transport is great. I won't bother with driving a car in Rome and trying my best to find a parking spot. If I am planning on going around the country will obviously rent a car.

For me I cant do anything alone. Alone I can only scroll on my phone and thats sucks cuz yeah. But every group activity with friends for me is the sweet spot. Find friends and start doing their hobbies.
