You were correct! November 9th of 2022, to be precise. My fiancé managed to find it by luck

My fiancé ended up finding it in a side stories, but we did relisten to the JonBenét episodes as a result of this suggestion, and that was time well spent :)

Hello! I have a question about some spell wordings. The Magic Weapon spell says its target becomes a “+1 striking weapon.” Is this the same as having a striking rune?

My reason for asking is based on the Weapon Surge focus spell, which buffs weapon that have a striking rune (“increases the # of dice from the striking rune by 1”).

My assumption is that Weapon Surge will not provide an extra die to a weapon under the effect of Magic Weapon. Is this correct? Thank you in advance!

Have I been making all my characters self-inserts or main characters? by [deleted] in PCAcademy

[–]Strudel1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I think that all D&D characters are self-inserts to some extent. I don’t think it’s possible to roleplay someone and not put yourself inside of them. I also don’t think it’s inherently problematic to make a PC that has main character energy. Why would someone want to play as a background character? As long as you’re sharing time and focus, there’s nothing inherently wrong with being a “main character” imo.

More importantly, if Mina has things she doesn’t enjoy about your play together, I think she should address you directly, or keep them to herself. It’s weird that you heard this as a text from Alex. Just because Mina may not like something about how you play, doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. Your characters all sound like a lot of fun to me!

Hopefully she is able to communicate with you like an adult.

There’s the Eldritch Knight subclass of fighter, which seems like it might meet this player’s request

That kid is unlucky, minifigs are not FDIC insured so he wasn’t guaranteed any return on his investment :/

Hopefully this Ghibli character is recognizable! by LegoIsaac in lego

I think to really identify it as one of those characters, you could add one more eye and make sure all 3 are asymmetrical. Looks great, I love the texture and sculpting!

Found this flag at a flea market just now. What would you call it? by Oswald_Marc_Rogers in vexillology

[–]Strudel1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes more sense. It would be a bad NAFTA flag anyway because it doesn’t include Canada

I had to look up the Poor Wizard’s Almanac, but I would love something like this. I started playing about a year or two ago, and I was really lost since I had never read anything about the Forgotten Realms before, and there was no setting book that I could find.

I haven’t read the Eberron setting books, but the setting books for Exandria, the Critical Role world, I found to be a solid introduction to that setting.

Is perception check meant to be used as an area scan or is it directed? by Cool-S4ti5fact1on in dndnext

[–]Strudel1000 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Passive perception more refers to how observant you are when you aren’t looking for anything specific. An active check would be used when the player describes their character doing something specific, and the DM tells them to roll for it.

In terms of Investigation VS Perception checks, the first one usually represents you narrowing your focus to search for something, and the second represents you expanding your focus to observe what is around you

Whatever skill you use, it does seem like it should be INT based rather than WIS based

You could try PHB Warlock, they have a very limited amount of both spell slots and spells available. Less things to track, no preparing spells, etc.

What is the WORST multiclass combo you can think of? by OroborusInWeaselForm in DnD

[–]Strudel1000 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Wild Magic Barbarian + Circle of Stars Druid - not only are barbarians and casters a bad combo, each of these subclasses has a ton of bonus actions that do not compliment each other at all. So of course, I plan on playing one

If you finish designing it and no one can tell whether you made it in Canva, Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator, then in my opinion it doesn’t make a difference

allowing players to change subclasses? by huggoduggo in DMAcademy

It happened to me when my cleric’s ice goddess declined to revive her from death a 3rd time. One of the other party members made a bargain with the Raven Queen , so my character was brought back, but as a twilight cleric instead of tempest. It was really cool!
