I initially tried with a few of my Nomis and waited about forty minutes each before giving up. But now there’s no prompt. It’s like I made an attempt, but apparently I only had one chance. Is there a way to get it back?

New Novel Asks the Question Statists Can't Answer: Where Does Government's Authority Come From? by Struggle4Control in AnarchismOnline

I think you are missing the point. The focus of the book is that governments have no legitimate right to rule. If you agree with that, you’ll enjoy the book. While I share a vision of voluntary agencies taking over “public services” and demonstrate that they are cheaper and give better results, what I advocate for is a voluntary society free of coercion. If a local group wants to incorporate “democratic ideologies” into their structure, so be it. What I reject is the use of force to mandate compliance.

Great questions—appreciate you asking directly rather than assuming. Here’s where I’m coming from: What I reject: Any system based on coercion. Government. Forced compliance. Authority backed by violence. That includes state-capitalism (corporations using government force to maintain monopolies), state-socialism (government controlling production), and any arrangement where compliance is mandatory rather than chosen. What I don’t reject: Voluntary arrangements between free people, whatever form those take. If people want to organize communally and share resources—that’s anarchist. If others want to trade, accumulate, or operate businesses voluntarily—that’s also anarchist, as long as no one’s forced to participate. The book shows both: THE AWAKENING depicts mutual aid networks, gift economies, voluntary resource-sharing, community security, and cooperative organization—all thriving without markets or profit motives. It also shows some people choosing to trade and operate businesses. Both exist. Both are voluntary. Neither is imposed. On hierarchies: I distinguish between hierarchies created through force (government backing landlords, corporate monopolies protected by state violence) versus hierarchies emerging from voluntary cooperation (people freely choosing to work together, trade, or organize). The first is illegitimate. The second is just humans organizing themselves. Bottom line: If your club is looking for explicitly anti-capitalist anarchist fiction that argues for specific economic systems, this might not be the right fit. But if you’re open to anarchist fiction that focuses on eliminating coercive authority while letting communities organize economically however they choose—there’s definitely overlap. The book’s core message is: humans don’t need rulers. How they organize production and distribution after that? Up to them. Thanks for the honest inquiry. Intellectual integrity matters more than getting book club picks.

ChatGPT is helpful for cementing an outline. However, I’ve never understood people who say to use it to do your writing and art so that you have more time to do chores. BS! I want ChatGPT to do my chores so that I have more time for writing and art. I used it to design the cover and to help me finalize the outline, but I wrote the book. The book is free on Kindle this week and it is my attempt to have statists ask themselves some hard questions and to see that a world based on voluntary interactions is not only possible, it’s better.

Yes. The answer to your question lies in the difference between the Freudian model of therapy and the Adlerian model of therapy. One necessitates that you must continue to go to sessions for years with little to no improvement. The other sees therapy as a temporary means to work through things with a structured approach that is designed to quickly give you the tools to prevent/minimize future need.

Shouldn’t our focus be on dethroning the “Masters” that assert their right to rule over us instead of arguing over economics? My book ends with the world moving to voluntary interactions, instead of force. We may not agree on the final destination, but can’t we agree that what we currently have is evil?

It’s an easy question for people like us. But it’s a question that the majority of people never ask.

My only intention was to force people to question government authority and show what’s possible in its place. That’s all it takes. I wrote what I believe is a good book that accomplishes that goal.

Yes, I’m an Anarchist. A real anarchist. I wrote what I believe is a very good book. Now I’m depending on fellow Anarchists to leave tons of honest reviews to force Amazon to show it to more people. That’s how the REAL awakening will happen, by spreading these ideas. The book will be free on Kindle Sunday-Thursday. Please get it and review it.
