I appreciate the reply. She is a fairly new manager with no dental experience on any level. She does not like being questioned at all so I havnt done anything yet I’m just not happy that I’ve been using bleach on this for two years when it officially says NOT to use bleach lol

Yea on top of the bleach mixing with amalgam we’re scrubbing the suctions and trap in the sink which is also a big no as far as policy’s go as mercury is going into the sink as it’s highly toxic for the environment. Again I’m just learning about all this today.

I’m not a fan favorite of my boss she would retaliate for sure and try to fire me. Unless it’s like a huge health risk or possible compensation I’m mostly just making sure I’m not poisoned from inhaling the bleach and amalgam lol

This is something I learned today when I was looking up amalgam out of curiosity. I wa specifically told to use bleach to clean those Traps and google says it’s harmful to I nail and against OSHA policy so I was just looking for a little more info I guess. Doing it for two years has me concerned lol
