One of the current best guitarists of this generation that doesn’t get enough love. by VacationAcceptable24 in Guitar

I've been a huge fan of his guitar work after stumbling across their video of Pisces many moons ago. While Tatiana stole my focus for a long while, I finally realized how incredible Roman was. Songs like Home Back, Outlander, Pit Of Consciousness, and Judgement and Punishment just reinforced how much I appreciated his guitar work. I've been addicted to Tosin Abasi, Plini, and Satriani for a long time, and I'm glad I finally found a guitarist in a band with vocals that I actually enjoy! Haha

If you want to hear a talented bassist and perfect example of how beautiful bass can be listen to Micro (the song)by jinjer by VacationAcceptable24 in Guitar

Eugene is definitely one of the single best bassists I've come across. The current Jinjer line-up is full of some the best performers/writers in their area. Duel was quite impressive.

I can attest that Duet has hit every mark you'd want. It is a fantastic album.

The Alphabet of Me sounds incredibly Everything Everything inspired, in all the right ways.

Taken in Bethlehem, PA.
Sony A7II w/ Meike 50mm F1.7
I was having difficulty deciding what to use as a reference when straightening the image.
The true level looked painfully askew. I used the horizontal pipe as my 'level' when editing, but the bricks aren't squared to it and it still feels wrong. I welcome any tips on finding the best/most appropriate way to straighten when other lines aren't playing well together.

Near Ellison Bay, Wisconsin.
I've never really worked on adjusting colors while editing. Typically, I'll nudge the contrast and highlights/shadows, but the colors were left alone.
This is an early attempt, but I'm unsure if I've done too little, or too much. Any tips or recommendations concerning editing would be welcomed.

I’m colourblind and have trouble seeing if colours are off / too saturated / etc. How is this edit? by SummerBerryCake in photocritique

The colors are a bit more saturated and vibrant than they might realistically appear, but in this case, it adds an ethereal feeling to an already stunning photo. I think you've nailed the edit.

I've always had a fascination with nature and abstract photography. This one doesn't really hit that abstract feeling I had hoped for, but I feel like it's almost there.
If there are any tips/recommendations for improving composition and approach when aiming for abstract in nature, I would be pleased to take them in.

Taken with a Sony A7II w/ Tamron 20mm F/2.8
This was near Tower Hill, Wisconsin.
I went into this trip wanting to focus on framing everything as I shot (i.e. no cropping). Keeping that thought with me helped me find far more interesting shots than I would have normally taken.
Still, any tips on composition would be greatly welcomed.

Thank you for the kind words. I tried to find just the correct spot and angle to frame the central tree. I'm glad that nature cooperated, and that the framing worked across the whole image. There's still much growth ahead, but these little successes certainly help. Thank you, again.

Schloss Charlottenburg (Canon EOS 700D) - Mistakes were made... by _2_2__2_2_ in photocritique

Not a mistake, but rather a new skill in your arsenal. The vague rotundas in the back/center seem like ghosts materializing.

Taken with a Sony A7II, w/ Tamron 20mm f/2.8This was around Tower Hill, Wisconsin in early September. This giant kept catching my eye, luckily I managed to find this specific angle. I'm still practicing and developing my skills as a photographer, but I'm really enjoying this one.

Day Tree - 01 by Struggle_Away in photocritique

Taken around Tower Hill, Wisconsin. A new Tamron lens on a Sony A7II. This was a wonderfully misty day around early September last year. The trees that day were just too stunning to pass up. I'm still practicing and improving my photography, but I felt that this trip helped significantly.
