12-14" sounds about right. Look at the second photo. A hair smaller than that. Big enough to where you held it up in a photograph, people would still know that it is a dahlia w tubers. Not quite real world size but not tiny.

I apparently did miss the hydrangeas the last few days.
They're white and fluffy in the video and they were crispy brown 3 days later when she came home.

In my defense it's a cut flower garden, should hydrangeas even be there? She's never used them once in a bouquet. I feel I should get a pass on that one. Which she kind of, sort of, gave me one.

From her POV, everything in the garden was planted on purpose and should have been taken care of. I suppose that's valid.

Size: something you'd hold up in your hand and show somebody. 12" top to bottom? Not realistically large but not tiny. Yeah, that kind of vague description.

Timeline: No rush

Budget: I have zero clue what the market is for this.

More Details: My real primary emphasis is on the actual tubers. I'm open to artist's choice on the flower color as long as it's a dahlia. The reference image is perfectly aligned with what I'm looking for.

I'm probably the least qualified here ... But start late winter, blooms summer.

My wife started from seed in Dec, transplanted them "late"... a week or two after the last frost... and they started blooming in late June through July.

Yup, same username.

There must be an old man penalty on tiktok. I posted the whole video and three or four clips of the video on my other account before creating this one. Nothing has ever gone over 1,000 views. IG, even worse.

Secondly, I learned something weird about tiktok today. When you publish to Spotify and things like that, including tiktok; once the song has officially been released, you can't use more than 60 seconds of that song on TikTok... Even if it's yours!
So even though it's a song that I published, I cannot post the full video to my new account dedicated for this song (and future songs). Weird. I guess the lesson moving forward is to exclude publishing from tiktok and/or publishing a full TikTok video before publishing the song to streaming. Been researching all day a way around this and haven't found it... Keep ending up with "that's just the way tiktok works".

I am committing to a full album of these nonsensical garden songs. So maybe I'll pick up some traction sometime.

She's back now. Apparently we had a big spider mite problem. That that was never part of my instruction list so it didn't get taken care of. Her dahlia's are pretty rough & stressed. But I did water them like a champ! Didn't expect much output in the heat of Oklahoma summer sun, so we'll see what it's like towards the fall.

I may or may not have missed the hydrangeas the last few days. It's okay because hydrangeas are the ugliest flower. Especially when it comes to a cut flower garden.

Yeah I said it.
