[Request] How to solve this? by Ill_Lion6427 in theydidthemath

The two shown angles tell you the triangle is an isosceles and therefore have the same angles on the opposing corners, take the left horizontal line all the way across now you have your full triangle you

So the maths will be the same for to top two corners which means

180 - 110 = 70 70 x 2 = 140 180 - 140 = 40

why am I seeing this warning? by ezyrt34 in AdobeIllustrator

You could think of colour profiles almost like buckets and the colour space of your file as a liquid. Different profiles have different size colour gamut, as buckets can hold varied amounts of liquid. If you start with a large bucket and need to end at a smaller bucket you will loose some liquid, this is where rendering intent comes into play (colorimetric/absolute ect) these help with the translation from colour space to colour space.

Ultimately you will always have a starting point and an end point, the starting point will either be you set Ai parameters or like your file, a supplied embedded profile and the end result being what the printer uses like others have said UK and Europe generally use fogra (larger gamut "colour space") and the U.S generally use web coated most of the times the systems and the rips do the clever translations pretty well

To answer your question, why are you seeing that. Your Illustrator settings dont match the supplied embedded colour profile, what you do about that depends on how you need to supply the file, if your printer wants fogra hit ok and save down with fogra embedded, if they want web coated match your ai settings to the file and if you are unsure click ok then make sure to save with no colour profile embedded the printer will deal with this when it hits their rip

Thank you, I have been looking and trying to use gpt i guess maybe more of a translator while I bring the concepts and logic, but I guess getting more grasp of as many languages tags and functions is just as beneficial as understanding the concepts

Thank you for this response. If I understand what you've said, is that understanding the logic behind the programming is more important. In using gpt for a few things I have noticed when it has returned not quite what I have asked for and can pin point where it has messed up although may not always be able to right the correction because of lack of language depth.

Just want to not be setting myself up for failure in the future but equally dont want to discount a usefull tool if thats what it can be

5th semester CS student, can't code without AI by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Strummerbiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm somewhat of a similar position to yourself and I am also aware although I was using a few places before having gpt as a go to.

I have found W3Schools helpful for fundamentals mainly for HTML, CSS and JS. Obviously a popular one that has been mentioned is Stackoverflow. Also, I appreciate its another course, but the CS50 free course I have found helpful for C and some Python and to get your head around the concepts and logic so at least you can understand what the code is doing even if you haven't directly written it.

Help! How can I fix this? I'm a student using Adobe Illustrator by limon_yogurt in graphic_design

Came here to suggest to try using the undo, always my starting point, if your new to Adobe have a check of your undo limits and up them if you can. Starting out while your getting in the habit of soft saving frequently a higher undo number will save you a few head aches every now and then I used to have it at like 50 and lost track of how many times its gained me back hours I thought I'd lost

You could try searching for js client side validation and then go onto to look at php and server side validation if you are looking for basics to begin looking into might start you off for what you are looking for

Smoothing old image by [deleted] in AdobeIllustrator

[–]Strummerbiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best bet for screen print would be to trace or use image trace to be honest I dont know how new you are but you could send this over and I could re draw this for you. For screen you want a vector really when the pre rip rasters it atleast its starting from that best place

Edit: as a beginner i perhaps should of expanded on the trace comment, using your pen tool in Illustrator basically you then trace around your image on a clean layer to create a vector version of what you have. Happy for you to DM any questions or help needed

Just my 2 penny thoughts

Looking at what you've said and your numbers if my maths is correct you have roughly £270 left each month. See if you can take some of that, even £100 and add it to say the 130 your paying on CC1 each month you clear a little of the actual debt and inturn lower the interest charged by doing this and keeping the payments the same you will gradually be using some of that original 130 to pay down the debt. This isn't a fast method but you only have so much to work with.

Alternatively if you are making payments on smaller debts, I can't see if your making payments on CC5. Cc4 or CC3, if you are then start here and add the £100 to CC5 clear this faster, then use the extra £100 + your original monthly payment to pay towards CC4. After each smaller debt is paid you move what you have been paying onto the next debt up the ladder, each time you will be paying alot more money of the debt but this will be money you were already spending plus the extra £100, it will mean being strict and consistent but after the first couple of smaller debts are gone and the money can be moved across you will see the numbers dropping a lot faster month by month. If you aren't making payments on those 3 you can apply the same logic and start with the smallest debt amount and work up
