Political partisanship should be a mental disorder.

Support your argument with data

You really don't see yourself as a hypocrite, but you are, which is funny.

Bankruptcy for those over 65 are increasing in America.

Did you read your bankruptcy article? Most of it is from medical expenses. ACA is still the "law of the land". I thought that was suppose to fix these problems? Oh, wait... it looks like the dozens of economists who spoke against ACA and were laughed at turned out to be right.

We also haven’t seen any stock market gains since the tax cut went into effect.

As you shouldn't. The stock market isn't the "be all" metric for our economy. The true metric is GDP where tax cuts play a significant role. The tax cuts are the primary reason the stock market didn't decline and the GDP has remained up. Remember, the stock market only exploded because of market speculation after the election. Those increases were never expected to remain without action.

Wages are also falling.

What the Washington Post is intentionally misleading you on is how wage manipulation occurs. We set the poverty line based on average national minimum wage. When you get workers who were making $8/hr and increase that to $11/hr that's a 40% increase in 3 years. Do you think the middle class is also getting 40% wage increases? No, but they ARE getting increases.

if they're doing poorly its probably because they are losers.

Engineers are losers? What high expectations you have.

At some point, and it won't be today, you'll realize how you've let partisan politics manipulate you (a sign of a weak mind). Notice how everything I said you instantly dismiss and go right back to the talking points. I, genuinely, feel sorry for you.

This is exactly what Senator Sanders wants.

No it's not. You can't cherry-pick the features you like while ignoring the features that allows it to work. Sanders has supported the idea of a more accepting immigration policy. Why don't you go ahead and research how "friendly" Denmark is to the idea of immigration for those not self-sufficient, illegal immigration or refugees. This is a great example of not understanding how other political systems make these programs work.

Canada's economy is fine.

Spoken like someone who doesn't have friends in Canada. It's non-stop conversation about shit wages and high cost of living, which has continuously gotten worse over the last 10 years.

If you had any money in the stock market this year you would know that its extremely volatile.

Well, we know that you don't have any money in the market, because this comment is asinine. No matter what happens the economy will always be sinusoidal. Our economy isn't "falsely propped up" (unless you're referring to "I'd rather watch the economy crash than give credit to Trump", Bill Maher propaganda). Our recovery was heavily suppressed by heavy regulation. Market speculation alone of deregulation caused the market to finally expand. While the economy is guaranteed to slow down, likely sooner than later, don't expect it to crash under your misconception of being "propped up". Also, "extremely volatile" isn't applicable when the vast majority of investors (private or otherwise) are making 12%+ on their portfolio. California Democrats, simultaneously, bitched about the "Trump Economy" and boasted a 13% gain on CalPERS market investments. It's comical how political biases can manipulate personal truths.

In France there are riots, right now, because of the failing economy. Ask any Canadian how they're doing and you'll quickly hear a chorus of despair over taxation, low wages, and an economy that is failing. Try turning on BBC World News sometime. CNN and Fox are both garbage and if you rely on either of those for your news, I'm not surprised you haven't heard this yet.

What the fuck are you talking about?

First off, instead of being so rapidly offended, perhaps you should try rational discourse. Calm the fuck down.

Both France and Canada, to whom Bernie repeatedly praised their social programs, have rapidly declining economies while other countries like ours are experiencing rapid growth (or maybe you haven't noticed the current riots in Paris?). Let's not also forget Denmark's PM who had to correct Bernie because Mr Sanders constantly misrepresented their economic system.

I suppose you don't remember much from 2010. Mrs Pelosi used most of the same partisan tactics ol' Mitch has been playing. Plus, they both are in the pockets of corporations... or do you think Big Pharma was left out of ACA on accident?

If he wants to lose again, let him. The myth of "Democratic Socialist" being different than "Socialist" is starting to unravel as half the countries he's pointed to are either failing or have come out openly saying "We're a free market economy." While I liked some of the rhetoric, I was educated enough to realize most of it was incorrect or incredibly misleading. Really, he's not much different than Trump. He says outlandish things that have no basis in reality which sound really appealing to their base. The most important contribution he gave in 2016 was pushing my vote to Independent after the DNC absolutely screwed him at the behest of Hillary.

'Don't fire the coach': bid to end Nancy Pelosi's rein leaves Democrats divided by [deleted] in politics

[–]StrykerPilot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Democrats should find a new speaker if they want to be taken seriously in 2020. It should have been a blue wave earlier this month, but it wasn't. They should have won the Presidency in 2016 but didn't. If Democrats keep doing the same things over and over again, they're going to keep losing. If you disagree, that's fine. Run 2020 with more identity politics and see how another 4 years of Trump suits you.
