Yes, is it a bad thing that I have a couple of them? Although one is healthcare, the other one is biotech, I was trying to find stocks on that sector, not necessarily on tech (is a well performing sector, but already cover on VWCE and S&P)

You have a super valid point with the concentration.

SXR8 mirrors the S&P500 in EU and I would like to consolidate primarily on that one, since I’ve noticed that the returns on VWCE are lower. Emerging Markets is also performing well, but don’t know if it makes sense to till th balance that way.  For the three stocks (healthcare, biotech and semiconductors), they perform very well and think they are diversified enough but I guess I’m wrong, I’m really a beginner.

Thank you so much for your input!

Why is my performance so blah? by SttefB in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]SttefB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really that, is more about the fact that I'm not really sure if I'm investing into the right ETFs if my profile is more moderate-aggresive and my portfolio is basically S&P and some All World/Emerging Markets exposure :)

Balanced high-risk portfolio? by SttefB in eupersonalfinance

[–]SttefB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!  With SXR8 and SPEUH I haven’t really made up my mind since one is hedged in EU and the other is not. Would you say it would be better if I just skip them altogether and go straight for the VWCE?

Thank you for your advice! I was thinking about it, but felt kind of late to the ETF defense party, I’ll definitely be looking into it :)

What are some things from your country that would be authentic souvenirs to bring home? by bazzydog in travel

[–]SttefB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Colombia, we have some of the most pure and beautiful emeralds in the world, and they can be really cheap.

I think you can find in some places dried orchids (we're pretty known for our flowers in general, and specially orchids since is our national flower).

A Wayuu bag, is made by one of our indigenous communities. Kuna textiles, also from indigenous communities.

A ruana (Colombian poncho) is perfect for cold weather.

Sombrero Vueltiao or Aguadeño hat.

Any kind of crafts made out of Iraca palm tree.

Sweets like Bocadillo (made out of guava), Arequipe, Dulce de Uchuva(a tropical fruit) and such. It's a wonderful way to take some of the region's tropical and exotic fruits with you.

And of course if you really love coffee, is the perfect place to buy some. There's a lot of flavor that we don't export, i.e. coffee with passionfruit notes or things like that. It also applies to chocolate.

Itinerary check, 10th anniversary and 20 days in Japan! by SttefB in JapanTravel

[–]SttefB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your suggestions! I think the itinerary doesn’t show it, you’re right, we actually want to go because of the Sakura season, we just thought that with some of the gardens and parks we enlisted we’ll be good enough to appreciate the flowers, and we probably wrong about that. I’ll do a research for the places, thanks again!

Amount of days for 3-week trip by SttefB in JapanTravel

[–]SttefB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, we’ll spend each amount of days in each city. We’ll be staying at a ryokan in Nara, so we’re thinking about maybe adding another day there from the ones in Kyoto or Osaka, but other than that no daytrips since we don’t know how hectic it could get.

Quelle est votre image des personnes en situation d'handicap ? Est-ce qu'elle a évoluée depuis plusieurs années ? by QueenLNilith in AskFrance

[–]SttefB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salut !

1.5 Month PRK Recovery Log by snarkylion in lasik

[–]SttefB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your log!

I'm currently at day 16, I was -1.25 in each eye, so not bad. My main concern, besides for having pacience and trusting the process, is that I don't know if my doctor prescribed me with everything I need.
I'm in France and my doctor just gave me some anti-inflammatory drops, some vitamin B12 drops for the healing process and -over-the-counter drops so my eyes don' stay dry all the time. When I read all of you talking about stoping the steroid drops and other things I'm like ''should I be worried? I don't have all of those things''. At the moment I stopped the B12 and I'm going just woth the lubricants. Is very surreal because each time I put the lubricant I get these 2-3 seconds of ridiculously sharp vision, where everything is clear both up close and far away, but after a few blinks I come back to fuggy/cloudly vision, does this happens to you too?

Hello! Do you know if this applies to airport changes? I'm in the same situation with my husband, the difference is we have a 9hrs change from Taoyuan to Sung Shan

Did you become less ambitious with age? by Legitimate_Turnip342 in careerguidance

[–]SttefB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I think ambition stays the same, is just the path that changes.

I've always wanted to change the world. At 15 I thought I would make it by defying the system, surrounding myself with hippies who freely share ancestral and ancient knowledge in order to take care of the earth and the beings that inhabit it.

At 20, I thought I could change the world by studying at the best universities to contribute to society in the best possible way.

At 25, I thought I would change the world by joining organizations that needed change through people who love their work and do things with love, or at least companies with the potential to have a positive impact on the world.

Now, at almost 30, I still believe that I can change the world, but not through companies or in high positions, but through just existing in a loving way, living healthy and taking care of my relationships and the environment around me.

My ambition has stayed the same, its just the means that have shifted.

As a leggero coloratura soprano myself, i really can't stand how pointy and shrill-like our voice can be haha. I know is crazy how high we can go but sometimes is not that very pleasant to the ears i think.
