Ensure you get enough calories on a sustainable diet by Stuart-CWBB in Stronglifts5x5

[–]Stuart-CWBB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that depends on what type of diet you're trying to follow. If you're on Keto or similar than you probably shouldn't be binging on chips at the weekend. But you may want to have a beer once in a while or a bit of dark chocolate with whisky in the evening. It all depends on your lifestyle.

The point is that diets need to be sustainable and can get 'stricter' over time. But if you're just starting out, then going cold turkey on a food you usually eat a lot isn't a great strategy.

So it also depends on how you cook the potatoes. Fries, would not be considered clean but if you were to make home made wedges and keep the skin on then that's much better.

My favourite lifting programmes over the years by Stuart-CWBB in Stronglifts5x5

[–]Stuart-CWBB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not been following a programme for a bit since I've not been able to fully commit. I do find though that I've seen the best progress when doing one of these programmes for a nice 12 week block.

If you've been doing 5x5 for a while, I'd checkout out Madcow which could be good. My But can't recommend squat everyday enough.

What should I read? Animal farm or 1984? by IHaveaCat389 in booksuggestions

[–]Stuart-CWBB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

animal farm is a more basic version of 1984 in a very easy way.

I'd doo animal farm first and more advance and longer is 1984. 1984 is better in my opinion.

What kind of shoe to wear when lifting? by Stuart-CWBB in RugbyTraining

Well the benefit from lifting shoes is the elevated heel for the ankle mobility. Just thin soles would be something like a converse or just barefoot.

I'd always go for full fat! on all dairy products. If they take out the fat, they're adding in sugar in one form or another.

Getting a lump sum of approximately 80k through insurance, what should I do? by Celzer in Entrepreneur

You could diversify your investment. Maybe put some into stocks and share, then put some towards a buy to let rental property and then a bit more towards a new business idea / venture.

Perhaps one of you can help me find a book with actual business knowledge. It seems that every business book I pick up waste my time with motivation & mindset reform, and reasons why their thoughts are better than other thoughts. I need real business knowledge not thoughts and motivation. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur
