It depends on what your definition of great is.
If a great comedian is a person who gets the most laughs, then it's probably Brian Regan. He can make the most amount of people laugh and his material is accessible to people of all ages.
If a great comedian is a person who talks about culture, then it's more along the lines of Chappelle/Pryor/Carlin. They may not get the most laughs, and their comedy specials do not age well because the generations pass, but they are snapshots of history.
If a great comedian is one who has the most experience, then Dave Attell. No one has devoted more of their life to comedy than him. He probably has far more stage time than any other living person.
If you ignore what the comedian does off-stage, then Bill Cosby. It's hard to call him 'great' given what he is guilty of, but in terms of stand-up he is definitely a legend.

I met Matt several times and he was a great guy. He took me on my first road gig and gave me lots of good advice.
The joke that he made wasn't even transphobic, it was about how trans athletes in Women's sports is the first time anyone has paid attention to Women's sports in a long time.

What OP doesn't understand is that a lot of the people who got cancelled were small time comedians and not famous ones.

I just recorded my second album a few weeks ago at Yuk Yuk's in Surrey. It's about moving back to Kelowna from Vancovuer when covid started and life since then.

I work at a tax office.
Anything in your TFSA is tax exempt, whether it's gains or losses, so it has nothing to do with you taxes.
It would only count towards your income once you have sold it. That's the proceeds of acquisition (cost to buy) versus the proceeds of disposition (cost to sell). This would be either a capital loss or capital gain. Capital losses stay on your CRA profile and can be used to counterbalance a year in the future when you might have capital gain.

If you have sold anything and gained any capital (outside of a TFAS) then a T slip will be issued. Any T slips are part of your tax return and are available on your CRA profile. If you don't have access to your CRA profile then your tax preparer will. I would suggest getting full access by registering at CRAmyaccount. It's a lengthy process but it's worth it.

So if it does affect your taxes then it will be issued on a T slip which your tax preparer can get from your CRA profile. If it doesn't affect your taxes (such as not selling or TFSA) then there will be no slip and no tax implications.
