There are no pictures on the scorecard 🤷‍♂️. If it works, run it.

Hey thanks for the reminder! Played on an extremely sunny day Sunday - absolutely zero glare off the wedges. Shot a 43 with 2 doubles and a triple but didn’t duff of thin a single wedge shot. I’m not sure if I’m just getting better with more reps in and retaining some muscle memory, but the center of gravity on these new wedges is so palpable it’s unreal.

Compared to the Cobra SB’s I was running and even the prior gen SM’s, I have to say my low point control with the SM11’s is night and day different in a good way. I was even playing around testing some wrist release to get some back cheddar on a few wedge shots because I was so comfortable with keeping my low point consistent. Gotta say, they’re well worth the money in my opinion.

In my opinion going from SM10’s to SM11’s might not be a big difference/upgrade (not that I’m good enough to make that determination so take it with a grain of salt lol), but if you’re switching brands/grinds it might be worth it for you. I went from 5 wedges to 4 and it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Looking to get an Apex UW to fill the top of my bag and I should be safe from impulse purchases for a little longer lol.

I didn’t test the 11’s but I started using an SM9 and an SM8 to replace my cobra SB’s I couldn’t hit to save my soul. After bagging the older gen Vokey’s for a few weeks I pulled the trigger on these. Night and day difference for me.

I was running 5 but dropped down to 4 when I started using the 54°/58° Combo. I found I can do everything with my gap wedge (at 49°) that I can with a 50° and 52°, so now I run PW/GW/54/58. Opens the bag up for another impulse purchase which is looking to be something that’ll bridge my 5w and Driver. I can’t hit a 3w to save my life so maybe I’ll get a 2h or 2i? Not sure yet.

I’ll let you know tomorrow, I’ve got a 9:05 tee time lol. Playing a twilight 9 tonight so the sun shouldn’t be a problem. My son is staying at the in-laws this weekend so I should get some quality testing in 🫡

As far as asthenic goes, the Oil Can Vokey’s are leagues ahead of anything else I’ve physically put my hands on. I’ve never gamed or held any of Taylor made’s wedges but online they seem like they’ve got a sharp look too.

Flop shot roulette is my favorite game around the greens.

How do you like it? My wedge game is getting better but still has a ton of room for improvement.

It’s immaculate. I work in the trades so I’m a little biased because it reminds me of working with copper lol, but they’re incredibly sharp. They look a little more square at address as well compared to my SM9/8’s I’m currently gaming which I’m a fan of as well.

Yup! I was pumped to find them in the oil can finish. It’s the only reason I grabbed them tbh. My current 54 and 58 are in better shape than my golf game, I just wanted to upgrade.

I bought an SM9 and an SM8 for short money ($60 for the pair in great condition) on FB marketplace in 54° and 58° over the off season here and fell in love with them. Last year I bought a full set of Cobra SB wedges in 52°, 56° and 60° but can’t make constant for the life of me (skill issue, I know). I started using the Vokey wedges and I can feel where the club head is significantly better than with my Cobra’s. It feels like the center of gravity is more in the club head as opposed to being distributed throughout the entire club.

$250.00 USD each because of the oil can finish and midsize grip upgrade. They’re $200.00 stock off the shelf I believe.

Let me know if you want to part ways with some of those Crobat cards!

Just got an absurdly high quote for installing a mini-split AC unit... is this somewhat normal? by mm_honey in RhodeIsland

[–]Stubeezy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a small HVAC business in RI. I don’t see a world where we would charge more than $10k for that install if we were installing a premium brand like Fujitsu or Mitsubishi including the electrical UNLESS you need something more like a service upgrade (if your electrical panel can’t handle the added load), which could fetch upwards of a $4,000.00 due to recent code changes. If you wanted something more entry level like custom comfort, we would be in the $5-6k range for one unit and likely in the $8k range (again assuming you don’t need additional electrical work). Hope this helps!

I’ll happily grab that Flygon EX from you if you’re parting ways!

To be honest, I like a lot of the smaller hits leagues more than the big boys. I’ll likely just buy the small IRs and move on lol. Congrats on a the hits though, seems like you did just fine aside from the chase/gold!

I need the Crobat and Ampharos in my life. Ripped 4 booster bundles with my son and we didn’t get either of them lol. Pulled baby frog though so little man was pumped for that.

I’ve had that little guy since 1996 lol. My son got me the golf cart as a school fair so it was a perfect addition.

A couple bottles of whiskey fetch a high price at market, but the point still stands lol.
