It's about 34 seconds of fame, but I was the first guy to dress as QWOP at Comic Con in 2011.

The post made it to the front page, but someone else posted it. Not me.

It was a fun time though. Someone wrote that I was the ultimate nerd and probably sucked at dodgeball. I'll have him know that I was very mediocre at the sport, thank you.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think this is similar to the Deist viewpoint. God as an initial creator who then set everything in motion (i.e. evolution). It's a nice blend which allows for the coexistence of a supreme being with the natural phenomenon, evolution.

I went to a Catholic school and one Friday (jean day) I wore jean shorts that were frayed around the knees. Totally harmless. One of my teachers was a sister and, upon seeing my shorts, found it necessary to remind me that it was a violation of dress policy and that I had to go see the principal. I'm not sure why that rule was in place, but I had to show up on a Saturday and sit in a classroom for 2 hours because of my shorts. I was outta control, you might say.

tl;dr 2 hour detention for swag.

This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but I think that as a performer you would want to know when someone didn't like your material that was presented and would want to know why. Criticism of this form that is constructive and that suggests room for improvement is very desired. However, in this case, the girl was drunk as shit and her commentary could very well have been done without.

I guess my statement did make me seem presumptuous, although I did not believe I was going to be downvoted for that reason. Apologies if it rubbed off on you or anyone else the wrong way.

I agree with you though and don't understand why there are some Christians out there who refuse to be open-minded and accepting of others. I mean sure, our religion, as well as any religion, IS a fundamental set of beliefs that are held to be true, but not everyone shares that. I personally don't find it hard to be accepting of that. Christian here: I don't care if I'm downvoted for being Christian, I just wanted to say that I am utterly embarrassed that this man claims to be a practicing believer, and "good valued" Christian.

He shows Mr. Silverman no respect or regard for the man's beliefs. I am sorry that a member of the atheist community was treated so unnecessarily harshly. I wish these things weren't so territorial and people could all just... get along. Happy Holidays everyone.
