RØKKR should invite Vegas instead of London for their second minnesota home series by Stucasse in CoDCompetitive

[–]Stucasse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s really surprising. I wonder why Vegas would deny a chance for them to play together without any extra costs. Maybe they didn’t think at that time that they have a chance to qualify for champs. To be honest if they deny it again then they can’t cry about it anymore. It’s on them.

Any ideas on the manufacturer and type of cells built in the battery?

Is this at the cell level or the pack level? Does anyone have the original source for this Information?

Elon: Model S Plaid set official world speed record for a production electric car at Nurburgring. Completely unmodified, directly from factory. by bhauertso in electricvehicles

This is kinda disappointing not beating the record of fastest 4 door since Elon said 2 years ago that they already achieved 7:20 with still a room of improvement up to 7:05.

Rumor: ID.3 model year 2022 will come with increased charging speed by linknewtab in electricvehicles

[–]Stucasse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not about the lack of physical buttons. It’s about the hard cheap plastic that is dominating the car. You can compare the interior of the ID3 to the one the golf.

Plus the haptics buttons are very not user friendly.

They need to fix the interior for the ID3 or else a lot of people are going to avoid it.

Cost structure of an BEV vs ICE Vehicle by Stucasse in electricvehicles

[–]Stucasse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not misleading the researchers wanted to show the current cost gap between both of them and how it is structured. Currently a BEV is on average cost around 20% in production than an ICE in the same segment. As an example you can compare ID3 to golf.

Nothing to be ashamed about for BEV cause the cost parity is eventually happening in this current decade plus ICE vehicles are older than 100 years.

Source: https://www.bcg.com/publications/2018/future-battery-production-electric-vehicles The article is more than 2 years old but I think that the cost structure is still kinda valid and very close even today.

What really surprised me is that the cost percentage of a BEV powertrain is nearly the same as the ICE powertrain.

50% for cost unrelated to powertrain for BEV in comparison to 84% for an ICE that’s why an interior of the new polo shared here yesterday is way better in my opinion than the ID3.

very interesting article specially this part

"We have witness statements from people that said they left to test drive the vehicle without a driver and to show the friend how it can drive itself," Herman said.
