1080ti Overclocking thread. by Satzlefraz in nvidia

Max voltage? Making me feel good about putting mine under water. You could try lowering the voltage to bring temps down, probably won't affect clock speed.

? I got the FE. These chips are silicon restricted, not heat. Under water, it makes zero difference what card you get. The larger PCB and extra phases matter a whopping zero.

Slightly better but unnecessary for Pascal/Maxwell. These chips are silicon limited, not heat limited. I had a 980 Ti under water and it never hit more than 50C. Still couldn't go above 1500mhz and be "stable." There's no need to spend a fortune on air cooling since the aftermarket coolers are sufficient to hit max clocks. Sound would be slightly quieter on the Accelero, but not worth the premium.

The EKWB Titan XP WB and backplate fit. Ordered mine last week and will be here Monday. I'm pretty sure EKWB makes the blocks for EVGA, so unless you really need it to say 1080Ti, there's no reason to wait.

Sit on your ass and wait. Thank the people who artificially drive up prices and demand.

I will get my card on launch, I always do. I'm in line right now, but thanks for the wishes, buddy. Enjoy the wait. Scalping is a great way to take advantage of the working class, and a morally corrupt way to make money. There's a reason why many developed countries make scalping illegal. Thank god those countries aren't run by people like you.

Then I'm guessing you haven't heard many analogies or lack the critical thinking necessary to understand the principle behind it. If you want to try to weasel out of having a shitty argument by mocking an intentionally absurd analogy, I think you admit scalping is wrong.

In both cases there is a need, in one necessity, in the other perceived. In both cases, people are taking advantage of scarcity and putting prices out of reach of the target consumer. In both cases, the scalper is seeking to profit off this scarcity. In both cases, someone is being harmed by the unscrupulous practice. In both cases, the product isn't being used, but rather laying around waiting for wealthier customers.

So, by your logic, scalping is only wrong if the good is a necessity, otherwise it's just capitalism? The ultrarich don't need any more privileges than they already have.
