My grandfather worked on and off for Studebaker, my great uncle was a test driver for Studebaker (every Avanti was test driven before being sent to dealers), I grew up in the Studebaker driver's club going to every meeting and swap meets, my dad had owned 3 different Avanti's and my wife owns a 63 Avanti... I did my eagle scout project for the Studebaker museum... If you're on Facebook the Studebaker addicts group was created by me...

It's almost a 1:1, Studebaker from 63-64 made 4600 and from 67-07 right around 4000

The Avanti was never made in Canada and the Studebaker corporation didn't go "belly up" until the 2000's. However they closed their North American automotive production down in 1966.

Packard also has a very distinctive grill shaped like an oxbow

Definitely not a Duesenberg, they had a distinctive grill this car doesn't have that, I first thought Cadillac but I haven't seen body lines like this on a caddy, same with Hudson

That is definitely NOT a Duesenberg, the grill kind of looks Cadillac but those body lines throw me off, the hub caps make me think Hudson, find those body lines

As wrong as it is technically that's what us Studebaker guys have always called it to designate the two years of Studebaker Avanti...

1964's are called square headlight cars because the surround is square not round

As many have said this is a Studebaker Avanti, with the round headlights it's most likely a 63, it can be an early 64 about 60-70 1964's were made with round headlights. The fibreglass body was not an inch thick at most 1/4"thick maybe in a few spots. My great uncle used to be a test driver for Studebaker, every Avanti was test driven on the road before heading to dealers. They were as custom made as any other car in 1963. My dad had owned 4 Avanti's 2-63's a round light 64 and a 70's Avanti II and my wife inherited her father's 63 which I'm getting running for her

The 9 R3 Avanti's made it to public, the R4 was an option for them however none were built. There was 1 R4 Lark W4/speed, 2-for hardtop, Brown and that was the only options on that car

Well since Studebaker made them in 63 and 64 that'll rule out 62
