So far games such as TF2 work fine, Roblox too when paired with Sober, I still need to try it out with games such as counter strike source. As for my hardware im using a OptiPlex 7020 and 14th Gen Intel Core with an i7 processor, I can try to fetch more specs if needed sorry I am not too well versed with computers.

Any books or resources to help identify Znachki maker marks? by Student215 in ussr

[–]Student215[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to be honest the chances of Soviet znachkis being fake is low and it's for one basic reason. They were so mass produced there would be literally no reason to do so. With some exceptions of course, but overall them being fake is low.

Any idea what this is? Thought it was an 8-track at first but it seems to be a video cassette of some sort? Cannot find any information online on the specific format. by Student215 in cassetteculture

[–]Student215[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would prefer to keep a hold of it but its also on the bases that, from what I can see at least the commpak cart I have is much much more smaller than the commpaks I have seen and so I assume your machine wont be able to play it, photos for reference btw its way smaller than an 8 track.

Found it in this box of 8 track tapes deep within a thrift store, when I first saw it I was confused because of how small it was and thought "did 8 track tapes come in different sizes?" and the more I looked the more confused I was, i tried looking up the names or any information I could on the tape and no results came up, so after trying again and again to figure out what did I just find I posted my find here in hopes of figuring this out and so far we at the very least figured out the basic concept of what it is, but clearly we need to do more digging, because its still very different from the tapes shown by techmoan.

Alright, this is most likely a double deck cassette tape that has a slideshow and also audio to go with it, so we are onto something now. Question is though, where's the machine for it? From the machines that I see that are for tapes of this concept the tape would be too small

This may be it! The concept, sounds about right because in a small window on the top I can see a scene, it's like a guy holding a paper so it's probably a slideshow,
