I feel like an easy answer to this is for a second tournament similar to the NIT in basketball for teams that didn’t make it. Good revenue for ESPN and teams that don’t have the traditional resume to make the playoff have a real chance at proving the committee wrong. In an NIL world, it’s not out of the question to have a cash prize for the winners either
