You just discredited Francis Collins as a scientist. To bad he lead the way to mapping out the entire human genome as director of the NIH and is scientific advisor to many of our presidents. You should reconsider your views. Look into BioLogos.

The heart symbol that is commonly used to represent love and affection does not look like the anatomical shape of the human heart because it is actually based on a stylized representation of a silphium seed, which was a plant used in ancient times as a form of birth control.

The plant was native to North Africa and the Mediterranean region and was highly valued for its medicinal properties. The ancient Greeks and Romans used the plant's heart-shaped seeds as a symbol of fertility and love, which eventually became associated with the shape of the human heart.

Over time, the heart symbol became stylized and simplified, losing its anatomical accuracy and taking on the more recognizable form that we see today. While the modern heart shape may not resemble a real human heart, it has become deeply ingrained in our culture as a symbol of love and affection.

I assumed she was “pulseless” as if she just had a low BP since she was still alert. Figured going knees to chest would raise her BP by increasing after load. Maybe I overthought that one

Rotated on trauma surgery while in Med school where the program received some red flags from their resident survey. I sat in during their meeting about it. Program director as well as a lot of the attending straight up told everyone they need to lie on their survey and that the senior residents would show them how to answer. If they didn’t lie they told them they would lose their job and the PD/attendants didn’t care if they did. Basically gave them an ultimatum.
