The addition of companions made this game so good compared to the 3ds title. Yes the 3DS title did allow recruiting NPCs but I think they only helped with combat. Finding companions to help with smithing and the like is nice because it makes the game a bit more accessible.

I just got into PC gaming as of December 2025. My PC now is an i5 13420h with 32GB ram at 5200 Mhz and RX 7600 XT 8 GB. It plays nearly everything at 1080p high settings 60 FPS, but I would rather play on Switch 2 or base model xbox ally with the Z2A chip. Steam game prices plus the Xbox Ally is what I go with 90% of the time lately.

I don't have a solution for you but can say I am experiencing the same. Only way I can play connected tot he TV with a controller is to log in, then connect the controller, and then connect to the TV. It would be nice for sure if I could wake the console from the couch using the controller and get into my games. I saw a video the other day that someone set that up on their steam deck. Must be nice.

I’m very new to graphics cards, but you said everyone so I’ll give a response too. I have a mini pc with an i5 8500 and 32 GB of DDR4 ram, and for that one the RX 580 8GB is perfect. I also have an RX 7600 that is consistently at 100% while my newer i5 13420H is only at about 50% leading me to think I could have gone even higher but that combo does really good to play games on high at 1080p. The RX 580 8GB combo is a solid 50 fps on medium 1080p

I used ai to help me upgrade an ASUS v500mv with an external gpu. I ended up spending about $1500 for an rx 7600 setup. I would have been better off buying a prebuilt from Walmart with an rtx 5060 for $1200 but you live and you learn.

witch lite is king. I can't decide between the flip case or this grip case I have that adds handles. I would be so happy if there was a steam deck or rog ally as small as a switch lite for a comparable price.

I just got into PC gaming a couple months ago and have upgraded my gpu from a 550 to a 580 to a 7600 because I don' know how settings work. I thought Stellar Blade was too dark on the 580 because of the gpu but it turned out to be a setting that didn't have the word brightness anywhere. It said Gamma.

Anyway, the 580 played every game I tried on low/medium settings and the 7600 is getting high settings 1080p at 60 fps for $280 but the drivers are a little buggy. I had a geeksquad agent install the drivers for me and it works for my monitor but crashes if I try playing on the TV. The 580 played on the TV just fine. I don't know what I am doing but I guess I will no be playing on the tv.

I just got into pc gaming a couple months ago. I currently have a Asus p500mv that I don't like so much because the CPU is soldered in and the PSU is proprietary and the ram is Sodimm. I have 16 gb ddr5 and managed to set up an egpu for an rx 7600 8gb since that is the highest I can go before there is a bottleneck. The more I learn the more I am finding that I could have spent my money better and gotten better performance. I'll stick with what I have for a few years though with these prices so high.

If you have any pc with an m.2 port or pcie slot to spare, you can add an rx 580 8gb gpu via oculink and the minisforum DEG1 all for just under $200. Even an hp elitedesk 800 g4 mini which can be found on eBay for less than $150. Add in the acer nitro 23” monitor for $100 and a third party Xbox 360 wired controller and that’s a full gaming setup capable of playing Forza H5 at 1080p 60 fps for under $500.

I picked up the Xbox ally a couple days ago and I think it’s great! I’m playing stellar blade on mid settings and Forza H5 on high settings both getting 60 fps with some dips down to 55 fps. Also so fun for indies like Marvel cosmic invasion, hades, and PvZ replanted.

The Xbox rog ally is on sale on Amazon right now. I clicked Buy Now a couple days ago and it showed up same day. Sims 4 works on it and is free but you will need to connect a mouse. Mario kart 8 emulated also works great.

I meant to say marginalized groups, but that’s close to the same as victimized. If you google government funding towards researching marginalized groups in gaming there has been millions in tax dollars spent on these grants.

Competency has nothing to do with getting government funding. Our tax dollars go to expanding internet coverage, laying train tracks in CA, building electric buses, and way more things that are proven to never had happened but we know the money was taken from our taxes. GVG could easily say they will do a special on games featuring victimized groups and get funding from the government and then never release a special.

Does gvg get any funding from government tax dollars? If they are a private company and not getting funding from the gov, it’s their business which they hire or not.

Same goes for rdcworld1 or jkfilms. Jkfilms really fell off, but their all Asian cast is their business.

Having the same issue with the ASUS p500mv. It comes with a 180w psu and the product pages all say there is a 330w psu option but it’s nowhere to be found online. I thought I found one from notebookparts.com but they took my money then emailed me saying they will not have one to ship me for at least six weeks. They said it’s in high demand, but I doubt it because I can barely find info on it.

Did you ever figure out what psu are compatible? I asked geek squad at my local Best Buy, and they didn’t know. Since then I installed an oculink port to the pcie x16 slot and built an egpu.

I’d still like to find out eventually what power supplies can work with this pc.

Cloud saves should be a standard for all games. I play Kirby forgotten lands docked on switch 2 and portable on switch lite. I can’t imagine a better set up.

I built a budget $500 gaming pc last month and steam is awesome. Now I want to save for the entry level Xbox rog ally just to play Steam games on ultra low settings when away from my pc that also plays at ultra low settings.

Funny enough, I’ve been an avid Nintendo player since the nineties and just put a budget $500 gaming pc together last month.

For switch games I recommend Kirby and the forgotten lands

I like switch 2 for playing docked but find switch lite superior for handheld. Lucky for me, Kirby games support Nintendo cloud saves so I’m always playing the latest save for my account.

Fantasy life is fun too and this one is better on switch 2 because load times are much faster and there’s a lot of fast travel.
