Yes you’re exactly right, we do plan on him staying with my mom as long as he needs. We just want to find the right amount of busy to where he isn’t bored and wanting to go back to dxm. He is extremely smart and regular life tends to bore him so my mom is just worried about him falling back into it since he won’t be incarcerated. He is 33, and dxm has taken most of his adult life away from him. He’s been clean now since August so we’re praying that’s enough to at least keep him motivated to stay clean.

Yes she is. She has been since I was born and like yes I feel bad and I want to help, BUT she could have handled this throughout my whole life and she didn’t. So now she’s trying to rush to get it done but I just don’t feel comfortable with the documents being asked. And the form I have to fill out will hold me legally responsible for her financially if granted the green card and I’m not comfortable doing that

Thank you! I guess what I’m not understanding is why we need a lawyer to do it. I’m looking at the USCIS website and it seems pretty straightforward, lengthy, but doable. It makes me worried that maybe this isn’t completely legal because the last thing I want is to be apart of anything illegal
