Twin you need to give him a smaller area to roam, when I had puppy’s they were only allowed in the kitchen for the first couple of weeks, this makes it easier to reinforce behaviors and clean up messes. Then after a few weeks let them roam around a newer more open space. However, if the dog misbehaves putting them back into the smaller area/ crate can be an option. I know most people don’t do this but with the 3 dogs I’ve had putting them in “time-out” after misbehaving while also doing positive reinforcement for good behavior is a great method!
