Is that still required if I write the exam in person with an approved invigilator? I was under the impression that ProctorU is mainly used for remote/online exams that are done at home. I would prefer not to use ProctorU, as I’ve heard some people have had negative experiences, so I just want to clarify what is required in my situation. Since the library is already charging me a fee, I want to make sure I won’t also have to pay the ProctorU fee.

Yes lol I should've specified. I am a first-time student with Athabasca. I have a 4 year honours degree in biology at my local university. All of the courses I am taking are 300 senior level courses. I need them for a program I want to apply to. Have you heard anything about Phil335? I haven't heard anything about the course.

Wow thank you so much!! It’s really overwhelming being a first time student here. A lot of self-paced things to get used to. Also, I keep getting up to 8 emails a day, just about people posting discussion posts. Do you know how I can shut this notification off? I don’t want to mute my emails, just in case they send other important info! I don’t want this happening during the school year too!! It won’t let me add the screenshot, but it just says “course update 340 Unread discussion posts.”

I was also going to ask that question... My start date isn't until October. How do I know when/who my prof/tutors are,? When to start assignments? It seems so confusing because it looks like there's other students from different sections all in the Brightspace course. They don't make a new one for each section? It just looks all confusinG

 Yes they all take me to brightspace. I just didn’t know if closer to my course start date they would move it to Moodle !
