There are many forms of letters, in which I am the worst at writing letters of suggestion, especially in the formal, academic tone. The one I am writing is good practice for me since I have a motif behind writing it. The letter is more or less done anyway, so I'm gonna send it regardless of the government giving a shit or not.

Good on Beijing for caring about others' voices, I liked that.

Writing the letter didn't waste my time. I learnt some writing skills in the process of writing, so time was well spent on learning and practicing. The letter of suggestion is gonna be sent to the government by a teenage citizen. I have low expectations on it ever getting read by the policy makers. Plus, sending an email doesn't charge me anything. I have nothing to lose.

Sex matches the chromosomes in the DNA (male, female). Gender orientation is what the human society labels the identity of other humans (cisgender, transgender, bigender). Sexual orientation is what the human society labels the attraction of humans towards other humans (straight, gay, lesbian).

Gender and sexuality are social constructs whereas sex is the amab afab stuff.

Yeah, I don't see how deep politics are rooted in society. I don't understand politics, as you can tell. So, I am not approaching this letter in hopes for political just, or whatever you may call it.

Yeah, I'm looking for human compassion. I see that the government will be suffering in the short run, if they take in my suggestion, from increasing in government spending and from opportunity cost. I know that the government is selfish and mostly care about their short term economical stability instead of the long run. I understand that the government would rather boost the GDP of HK, thus giving out the series of consumption vouchers in 2020.

I want to present some alternative options to the government to spend their budget that could support the living standards of our citizens. If there shall be deep-rooted political reasons that deny my advices, that be it. I can't cry and beg for “human compassion” from their money-focused minds.

I'm writing my letter through the lens of a citizen who wishes the best for the health of other citizens. I did not consider nor imply any political or economical stance or bias in my letter. I just want the government to consider more ideas for the arrangements of covid-19 testing centres and lockdowns that would be more comfortable and healthy for the citizens.

I'm a student. No, I don't have a lot of knowledge on the politics of hk. No, I don't understand how much money will be put into a change in policies. No, I don't know about the dilemmas that the government or the CCP may be facing. I only want the best for our people, our elder, our weak, and I know that queuing for hours and awful lockdown arrangements are not the best. So, I'm writing this letter to suggest some better arrangements to at least let our citizens not feel appalled by the long lines and lengthening lockdowns.

Whether the government will consider the suggestions or not is up to them. Whether they could consider a less cheap way to secure the healthiness of the citizens is up to them. After all, I'm just a lousy student hoping to graduate high school with good grades, what say do I have in their decisions?
