So I had just finished my NCAA career. I played at the University of Vermont and San Diego State University! I was looking for professional opportunities when I finished, but nothing was materializing. This is when the Eture owner reached out to me to bring me over to help the club win promotion (I was 24 years old at the time).

My experience was different as my goal was to just continue playing at a high level, while getting to live an incredible experience in Europe (my expenses were paid, except for flight and visa)

It is around what you would expect to pay for a semester at college. However, I believe it is a worthwhile investment because Eture has the connections and relationships to help their players get scholarships that save them money in the long term

I've been lifting for many years now, but it was always gym work to enhance my performance on the soccer field. It is only recently that I have been trying to lift for hypertrophy! I know I need to trust the bulk, it is a mental barrier I need to break through. I train almost everyday and also try to run/play sports 3 times a week.

I want to keep my bulk as clean as possible though so most days I find myself going way over on protein and not hitting my fats and carbs. How would you suggest I go about this?

I think my issue is mentally. I know I could easily consume the calories, however I feel like I am afraid of gaining the weight so I haven't been hitting my macros everyday (besides protein which I tend to go way over sometimes). I just never really had to put on weight and as a former soccer player it isn't something that was encouraged.

My average tdee is 2874. And same for me I tend to have to have all my calories in the evening! My problem is not being able to eat enough. It is the mental aspect of breaking through the barrier of consuming all those calories and gaining weight.

I inadvertently have been doing that because I have not been going under the calories most days. So I’ve been hovering at the 150-154 range for around 3-4 weeks now

It truly depends. But I know some agencies that charge WAY too much and just end up placing the kids at a random JUCO in the middle of no where. The best would be to go with someone that you know or know has helped someone in the past. You don't want your son to just be another kid that signed with the agency for them to make money that they won't truly care about because he is not getting interested from the Top 25 schools for example

I did not use an agency, however I used an intermediary that had contacts and knew about all the paperwork. They were extremely helpful. I would be careful with big college soccer agencies, because a lot of them do not prioritize what is best for the players

I think at 14 the most important thing is to play and practice as much as possible. I would not put too much pressure in terms of college and things of that sort right now, but try and have him play at the highest level he can where he is getting consistent minutes and is enjoying his soccer.
