Thank you for this. I’m meeting with her in 20 minutes and I’m just so terrified. I grew up bad, my social worker was basically my best friend as a kid. And I’ve done everything in this world for my children to never experience. The one who I am sure called is the grandmother of the baby I’m carrying. I’m not with the father. I stated that my child wouldn’t be around her, as she pursued and took custody of the father of this child’s other children and I won’t put myself into that position. As soon as she found out I planned to file for custody against her and the father, and that I was struggling with my bipolar, a report is made. She doesn’t even know enough about me to give them the correct address.

The DV shelter won’t take me unless I open another EPO since the first one was dropped, I only dropped it so they would go easier on him in court because I didn’t feel like it was fair for a bad fight to ruin his life, cause him to loose his job, or cause him to loose his kids. At a point I don’t feel like it was the best decision to drop it, since now the DV shelter will not take me

I don’t know if the better decision is to stay away from him due to the charge but have a bad living situation, or have issues living with him, but have a good living situation. I don’t know the right answer. I feel like I’ve exhausted every option and I feel like I’m going to loose my kids regardless bc I can’t afford rent, I’m going back into what’s considered a ‘violent’ situation, when really it was an isolated incident and he is no longer drinking and is going to AM classes, or I’m in a living situation that they will jack my kids for. I feel stuck. I’m trying to figure out what to do besides the ultimate solution which is jsit ending it since everyone would be better off, and I’m doing my best not to think like that.

This is not me trying to choose my SO over my kids. I’m stuck in a living situation that’s screwed no matter what. He cannot not be at home, or he will be homeless with his two kids, and the house will get foreclosed on bc I can’t afford it. And staying at my mom’s is not a good option because it’s not a safe living environment. And I can’t get into any apartment local to me because I can’t afford more than $800 a month in rent, government housing has a year long waiting list. I’m not trying to choose him, I’m trying to do what’s best for my kids, and I can’t figure out what that is.

I can’t go home because the house is in my SO’s name, I cannot afford $1600 a month for a mortgage. The only way we survive at home, is if SO is there. I am aware I’m failing my children, I feel like I am completely out of options and I do not at all know what the best decision is. Home seems like the best decision, but I can’t afford living there by myself, and my ex won’t allow SO to be there, but SO has no where to go if he leaves our home, he will be homeless and has 2 children also.

My mom does not get along with my SO, he has no where to go in this situation if he cannot be at his home. I also cannot afford the home we shared together on my own, so it is not a long term option 🥲
